Well done FDev!

To the developers - well done! I'm sure you are loving your enviable 'can't win' position out there! "ED is boring and needs more content! I demand more content now", two months after release - more content, and more on the way very shortly (in dev terms). "Booo! You rushed the whole thing, you should have done more testing / praying / sacrificing to Cthulhu". You must really love that!

Are you having problems? Sure you are. You probably need a bigger team. Does 1.1 have bugs it shouldn't? Hell yes.

But from someone who writes and test code for a living without the benefit of a huge QA team - I saw well done!

Honestly, the way some are going on in here you'd think 1.1 didn't do anything but create collision problems...

Yes congratulations on the patch out, its full of holes for sure but its good to have it out and 99% playable.

I enjoy in posting in a new thread where an existing thread exists.

It also bugged exploration. It's a space ship game where flying your ship isnt a good idea right now and where 33% of the content, exploration, is not working.

I haven't played 1.1 yet.
I can't wait to see how many issues there are so I can come back here and moan about them.

I wish I wasn't being honest!

I know it isn't perfect, but it never will be. How long do you want to wait for new stuff? I'm still busy investigating pre-1.1 stuff, so I was in no rush. But those people playing since beta/gamma are crying out for it...

I played all afternoon with no problems. Then again I watch where I'm going and don't crash into other ships.

I was wondering how people were flying to notice the collision issue so much. That said, I might have changed my tune if I'd just lost several millions worth of space ship!

i see no real "problems" here. some times its buggy then it gets fixed. its not like they made the game and released it and never updated it again.
they are always in contact with the community.
i'm not too sure why people are saying so much of the game is "broken"

the only real problem i had as of lately is the new economy that seems to be very unbalanced and the "bulk tax fee" that seems abit excessive for those that own a type 9 and anaconda.
but im very sure it will be fixed soon.

More content? Where?

Ok, please, state what you were expecting, and if you cannot, then maybe you should stop saying this?
I don't know... Something worthwhile to do other than trading? Mining that isn't tedious, and making you wander around like a blind idiot. Bounty hunting that's profitable. Exploration that's more than just looking at a sky box and scanning the same stuff over and over again. Information on modules so I am not guessing WHAT THEY ACTUALLY DO like some sort of idiot. I mean what the heck does A^ blue mean over A v red? What does four bars of dps mean over 4 bars of dps on another weapon? What percentage is one ring of shield? Simple information which WE ARE STILL LACKING!!! Not even a sorting system that places modules in categories. No... We have to wait three months for system hopefully. I could go on and on, but you probably get the picture.

the game became a bit better with 1.1
sure there are bugs but every week bugs get patched...
A lot of the complaints have been ( partially) adressed in 1.1
Is this enough? No but at this rate the game will be awesome in 1 year time.

Seems everyone keeps focussing on the negative side lately without mentioning the good stuff....

The good stuff and the bad stuff has been mentioned 20000 times now.
Time to move on and let the devs do there job.

Always remember the devs have lives of their own and do the best they can. They even might agree with a lot of the complaints and are unable to do something about it because boss mr. X decides when, what and how. But if you have to read 300 times a day your work sucks i can agree that you wont feel to good.

I personally think this is pretty good update and a bit more then i expected....

seems also a lot of people just have difficulties in accepting any change...
yep... Once you gave something you can't take it back ( cfr python and shield cell nerf...) or tears gonna flow.

Thanks for the update!!

Please Give details on Wings soon so i can decide if its even worth waiting for.

Its fairly clear what the focus of 1.2 will be. True shared mission and improved comms and grouping. Of course, they will probably throw in a lot of other stuff as well. I'm voting for an Anaconda nerf j/k!!!

The picture I'm getting is of someone who lacks imagination and hasn't read the manual. I realise that sounds inflammatory but that is what your post tells me.

On trading/mining/bounty hunting/exploration - what else do you expect there to be to do in space? I mean, it's space, man - it's largely empty! If you want to enrich the experience, maybe you gotta use your noggin and make your own story up. There are a lot of suggestions out there for making things easier, but not many of them make things better (ie mining drones to collect the chunks of rock - easier, yes. Better? Matter of opinion)

As for answers to your more 'technical' questions, well they're out there too. Those that you can't figure out for yourself will have been explained somewhere, either in the manual/wiki or in these forums (call it exploration, if you want).

I'm not trying to rain on your parade, apologies if my tone is not what you want to hear, but sometimes just a tiny bit more effort, or a good comedy show on in the background, can make the difference between the perceived grind or a decent bout of gaming.

Fly safe Commander.
