Sheilds and collision damage is broken in places at the moment. Deaths happen for the strangest of reasons. Ticket it and you'll probably get reimbursed for your loss if it's a bug.
However, some people are mixing up real life with the game. No one who is killing players in the game is going to be doing it in real life, get a grip with the "mass murderer / terrorist" name calling.
I play a lot of wargames, both boardgames and PC, I have sent divisions of the finest youth to their deaths, for the sake of a couple of hexes around a victory point. It is not real, it is a game.
In many an RPG, I have charged into enemy hordes, swinging a sword and throwing fireballs, killing dozens with the edge of my hand and not thinking it too many. It is not real it's a game.
People act differently. It is not real, it is a game.
Being killed in Open play is not being griefed. Being blown up inside a station by missiles you can't target time after time, is griefing. That sort of unfairness is the thing people should be complaining about, but please don't go off the deep end. It is only a game.
