just had another one of those names for in game stuff approved and have to say a heartfelt "Thank you Frontier Developments!"

this is great and i just love the way you guys go about your business.

not much of a thread, i know :D

Good for you, the in game naming has been very popular and I guess it will be very exciting to see all the names that people have come up with. Even better if you named a space station and are docking in it.

there will be charts with "named" places out in no time. even though exploration is not my strongest side...

but at least we all can hang out in Shinrarta Dezhra :D

Nice one deus :) Is it a station / planet you have named?

Re. npcs names - if I come across mine in flight I shall try to bump her up to tier 2 by being nice - or nasty (probably getting my butt kicked) - whichever feels appropriate.

regardless of what is being named i think FD are giving a lot of leeway in what they allow in their/our names.

the first mmo's i played had near to no restriction, and soon you couldn't even DuDeSpEaK your names anymore or use anything remotely funny, tongue in cheek. the naming policy became longer then the TOS.

of course the umpteenth Skywalkerrrr etc is a bit dumb, but it really only reflects on the name giver ^^

from what i am seeing is that ED will be much more fun in NPC etc names, too

For the NPC names, I FD said that they could mix up the first and last names so there will surely be a great variety of NPC pilots to ki....err, meet along the way.

As I mentioned in another thread about NPC names mine is my real full name so that's two forenames and a surname... I've also seen the surname used as a first name so if FD want to mix that up that's quite a few options just from one pledge.
