Hide Hud Gone

Before 1.1 I could completely hide the Hud to take pictures like this :

However since the patch Shift-Alt-G no longer works..

I can use CTRL-Alt-G and it gets rid of everything apart from the planet tags (which is annoying!)

Is there a way around this or is it a bug/intended?

The game is so beautiful that it seems a shame to not be able to take great pictures of it...

Yeah, me too. There's an amazing galaxy full of screenshots out there, but it's almost impossible to do them justice with the ship in the way.

CTRL-ALT-G Hides the HUD.

But, sometimes the planet tags doesn't hide. I started a thread about removing canopy etc so I can take 8k screenshots but thats not possible either.

Game is beautiful, but if you want to take amazing space photos, youre better off in Space Engine

If you fly a Imperial Clipper and look UP with headlook you have no canopy (see my pics above). I'll try a few more times and see if the planet tags are consistant or not...

I noticed that in supercruise the HUD leaves those planet tags behind, but think they go if you drop to normal space. And its reverted back to Ctrl Alt G for whatever reason.

Yeah, Clipper and sidewinder are perfect photographer ships. Assignment has gone back to the original (they changed it in Gamma for some reason) CTRL-ALT-G

If you can afford it the Anaconda also has a no frame view if you look up slightly.

I drop out of supercruise as I was getting the vertical SC lines showing as well as tags.

I'm glad it's not just me - I though I was losing the plot!

I have opened a support ticket.

Yeah confirmed here too. Was lining up a really nice shot and the darn tag wouldn't budge. Deselecting didn't help. Hope they fix it so we can be completely tag free for our space pics

Confirmed you have to drop out of supercruise and target something away from whatever you are taking a screenshot of to get a clear cockpit. Annoying.

FYI you can hide orbit lines from the right side panel under Functions.

Didn't know that ta very much commander. Sorry I didn't read that reply properly. I know about the orbit lines and never have them on. I was talking of the small vertical lines either side of your central viewpoint that are there in supercruise. I don't think there is anyway to remove them unless leaving supercruise.

You mean I got to buy other ships just to do some basic photography? damn. Come on FD, it should be a simple Console command.

I've never managed to get CTRL+ALT+G or even SHIFT+ALT+G to work. All either have ever done for me is open the galaxy map. Didn't work either when I tried binding the galaxy map to a key other than G although in that case it obviously didn't open the map ;)
