Is there any tool that I can use to see how many hours I've played Elite Dangerous? As in accessing logs that would display the total amount of time which I've played thus far.

I would liked to have seen this in game stats, with the addition of cost per hour like in BF2.

It would be good to see some additional stats.
Total kills, type killed, total hours, longest session etc.
In fact not being able to see my kill tally is a real bummy for an aspiring Bounty Hunter.

Used to be recorded in the stats shown on the right UI panel but got removed at start of gamma
Now you need to look away from your keyboard:

Dog looking anxious - many hours played
Dog + suspicious puddle - Slightly too many hours played
Children crying - Getting there
Wife left with the children - just the right balance

I don't know if I want to know. Guild Wars 2 had a counter. Let's just say it got depressing seeing that after a while...
