the Krait is the missing part of the formula for pirate interdictions. It doesn't feel right to be interdicted and not have a band of pirates with a few kraits trying to do you one for your cargo a la 1984 version.

Definitely we need Kraits. Splendid cannon fodder. I'd like to see a whole load of the original ships in, even if they aren't flyable. Just to give more target variety. Mambas, Kraits. Also, asteroid hermits. I always imagined them as Terry Jones in a loincloth...

The whiners would be legion but that's a very valid point up there: not every ship needs to be made flyable! I'd rate variety way more important than being able to fly every thing myself.

Excuse my born-in-1984 (yeah, I'm that young ) ignorance but what are the Krait specs ? For what I read here it seems to be a super lightweight ship but what else?

Shaped like a triangle no matter which way you looked at it. Always accompanied a bigger ship and was, for all intents and purposes, as someone else pointed out, cannon fodder. Escort vehicles mostly.

In Elite 2 and 3, when equipped with a military drive it was an amazing ship for military missions. Plus it had teeth decal!
It was a bit bigger than a sidewinder and smaller than a viper. I think
