I suspect the former but have to admit (grinds teeth) he makes a fair point. The Outsider was announced in 2005, and apart from DB's reassurance that it was still in development in April 2010, no further news. Other Frontier games have been said to be leading to E4 technology, but it's hard to see how that can apply to Kinectimals. Very reluctantly I'm beginning to believe that financial pressures on Frontier will mean E4 doesn't happen. The PC gaming market is now a tiny fraction of the total, even longstanding serious strategy games such as Civilisation have been dumbed down and "consoled" in their latest incarnation. It's hard to see a hardcore, serious space sim that takes time to get into, being financially viable. Add to that the general reduction in space-themed entertainment (RIP Star Trek) and it's hard to be optimistic that Henry Krinkle will not be able to leave the same message this time next year.
Please prove me wrong, Frontier!!
And meanwhile a genuine Happy New Year to patient forum posters here:smilie:
