Bounty Hunters are no match for any other career...

Traders and business make more money than Bounty Hunting. Its just a fact of life. Apple made money trading not shooting or arresting miscreants. Thats the way it is. People bounty hunt for reasons other than making money. I trade AND i have a Viper for bounty hunting fun. I'm happy the way it is.

Trading Rares in early - mid game is the most efficient way of earning credits that I can see. I don't hunt pirates for money...just for fun.

Also I have to hunt pirates in a low cost ship. as for example if your hunting in something like an ASP, you could be doing great for an hour, racking up the credit and kills, then all of a sudden your unlucky and get rammed. then your out of the cost of the ship and get no credits. Also the cost of repair can often outweigh the reward.

I love combat, but never use it as a money earner.

Frontier should balance all professions to earn the same amount.

Currently Orca passenger courier commanders earn 0cr. So Trading, Bounty Hunting, and Exploring should all pay 0cr.

Durr hurr.

How about waiting for the devs to revamp all the placeholders (which Combat and Pirate Hunting missions obviously are) and add the missing content before screaming about imbalance?

But ED isn't real life, it's a videogame, class balancing in videogames is game design 101 and as far as bounty hunting goes FD have failed. It's not even inadvertent either, with each update they appear to be deliberately making bounty hunting worse and worse.....which is fine if their ultimate goal is to make ED a space trucking simulator.....but given how the combat and bounty hunting played a key role in most of the pre-release advertising they need to address the issue. I would like FD to explain why there is such a lack of balance between the 'classes' and why they appear to be actively making that gap bigger, after paying £300 into their Kickstarter campaign I am hugely disappointed with the direction they seem to be taking the game as far as combat is concerned.

While the OP's numbers aren't really representative of how much money you can earn bounty-hunting, the fact that they removed ring farming was actually a hit to it as it took considerably less time to respawn a favourable instance there, I currently have to do 30+ resets everytime i enter an extraction zone before i see wanted anacondas and unless it has wanted anacondas the money rate is so bad i might as well mine.

I mean really it comes down to the old don't fix things that are actually good gameplay features, the game was better with infinite pirate spawns at rings it was fun, purist and challenging (if you were going vs 3 spawn with bait).

I'd recommend conflict zones, choose your faction and u will get a steady flow of combat bonds coming in, there is no lack of planes in these zones. The amounts arnt as good as regular bounty hunting but if u enjoy combat and don't wanna loose money it's the way to go.

Oh god....

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SHUT UP ABOUT BALANCING AND CREDITS PER HOUR AND HOW MUCH MONEY YOH MAKE. ITS NOT A JOB.

OHHHH MEEEH GOEEEED.

lol seriously. If you play to make money. TRADE.

There's nothing wrong with balancing professions so you can get about the same profit. However, i don't think bounties should be buffed - trade should be nerfed. People still get far too much money with trade.

Bounty Hunter pay well , it could be much better if we can catch pirates (players) with high boutnies.
But it's currently impossible.

Too easy to run away.
Bounty hunter, at this momnet, is a NPC hunter.
