Need cheap and fast personel transport

I need a ship to transport me long range without cargo to other systems to pick up my parked ships.
I am thinking a Cobra or a Hauler with upgraded flight system.
Any ideas on this?

I have a fleet of adders dotted around the Galaxy, they are used as shuttles between my large ships. Maxed out adders cost around 800,000c and from memory the jump range on mine are around 30LY

LOts, all discussed to death on multiple other threads.

FD have suggested that they will eventually implement a delivery system to bring your ships to you. Until then, buy a sidewinder, fly it to where you ship is, and sell the sidewinder.

Am curious about how this delivery system will work. It would cost me 350,000 credits to fly my type-9 100LY without a fuel scoop, plus wear & tear on top.

Deliverys are not going to be cheap, and in typical ED style I reckon deliverys will take quite a while. I have a feeling most will only use the delivery method when they urgently need access to a ship.

I would rather have myself delivered to the ship than the ship delivered to me.:p
That way I could do some exploring today and some trading tomorrow.

Or better, I would like to have a little pilots corporation with 3 pilots that share the money and do different things, and I could jump in to play anyone at any moment.
I'm for variety.

Can't you just buy a cheap ship, self-destruct and chose which docked ship you want to start again with? I thought that was a viable option?

FYI ... according to edshipyard, you can get 26LY max (http://www.edshipyard.com/#/L=30V,,2-3m3w3I2M1k2M3c,03w03w7Og2Uc)

With a little bit more adventurous outfitting, it is entirely possible to get a jump range of ~35LY in a Hauler, ~31LY in an Adder. A slightly safer build can still get you 32-33LY in a Hauler, ~30LY in an Adder.

To be honest, when I've been going back to get ships because I'm moving base, I normally use an Eagle. Still cheap, and not with quite the same jump range, but in my view the Eagle is just more fun to fly than the Hauler or Adder.

Its okay, if I can fill it up with rares and send it back 200 LY.

I've not self destructed but when I have been destroyed the option is buy back ship you were in or free sidey at the last place you were docked, no choice of picking one of your other ships.

It might get implemented in future releases and when it does, who will be the first to create a hitch hikers guide to the galaxy? :)

Biggest ship I own is a Clipper and don't think I shall be going any bigger anytime soon.
I run the clipper as a my trader/miner and just buy a Viper for combat in my current area, if I move on I sell the viper and fly my clipper...the loss on the viper is minimal

Thanks for clarifying. Just as well I didn't bank on that!
