Mob Mentality

So I figured "Hey Khan, why don't you try your hand at this editing stuff so many people do! Tell a story!"

Thus, I came up with this. First attempt at the editing, go easy on me. :p

No Rookies where killed in the making of this video.

On that note:

Why is it, that most people go in for a swarm in this game, after around three ships engage the target? Of course you have a few guys who go in when there is backup of any-kind, but the majority don't do anything until that magic number is met.

Why is this?

The target presented was none hostile, and not worth anyone's time, yet they all went for it, and I do not have the faintest idea as to why.

Shield cells are fixed! No more god mode! Hooray!

There's no point in taking on a wanted Anaconda, you'd just jump out on shields down, and since we have no means to prevent that yet, there's really no point

Not really no. All that changed was the time spent in the field (Rofl Nerf combat some more), and the damage threshold you use them at/can recover from.
I can still stack banks like no tomorrow. Shields still drop like rocks when large ships fight each other.

Now I have less reason to fight large ships in one, and have to head back to the station more often for reasons, in addition to using them sooner then before. (Pop the cell when the second ring is going down instead of the last)

Still god mode. Npcs are still useless even in large groups.

Called it on day 1. No one believed me back then.

Preaching to the choir.

I called this out back when it was in beta testing, got ignored. Heading back to the station more often does exactly nothing for combat "Balance", when they are used just as often as before.

Yaaay price increase for ammo! Totally gonna care when I'm avoiding 100x that amount in repairs.

Anyways, I was looking for feedback on the video, not to discuss shield cells in this thread.

try doing this somewhere other than the newbie System Eravate? The video is boring, you're looking at players who've been around 3 days.

It wasn't about seeking a challenge? It was to determine when players feel safe enough to mob you, and test out basic editing I have never done before.

Kinda like how it was mentioned in the OP and the video outright?

Bloody hell, I didn't even kill anyone to prove the purpose of the demonstration.

i wouldn´t ever try to engage conda if even there would be 50 ppl against it and it´d have 100k bounty.
