Originally made this post on reddit. Thought I'd move it here too.

Service would work as a collecting agency of sorts (most likely for independent systems) that would cash in your vouchers for you and transfer it to your bank for a percentage off the top; perhaps with a higher % for the greater the distance away the claim is.

Pro: save time
Cons: lose a bit of creds

Thoughts on this?

If you want to collect bounties, it isn't hard to do so, if the factions exist, of course(!). This is a "can't be bothered, fix it for me" suggestion, in my opinion. So that's why I'm thinking no.

Had the same thought last night, loose 10-20% to the CMDRs benelovant fund or something.....I have stacks of bounty in Alliance and Empire, but with NPC interdictions out of control, I am not risking the trip to get them............I get mugged 3-4 times going 600 lightSECONDS to the RES I hunt......and I am in a Viper........ I would'nt make it two jumps in my Hauler.....

I don't think anyone would say it's hard, but can be a huge waste of time. I'd like to clear some of the random bounties I've gotten from interdictions but there's no way to discard them from my growing list of small unimportant bounties I couldn't be bothered seeking out. Back when ship modules were difficult to find in many stations and people didn't feel like wasting time seeking out a proper station for outfitting, so FD added them accordingly. What if you told everyone then that they "couldn't be bothered" so find those proper stations. I'm glad some people have time on their hands, but i think this issue needs to be addressed as well. It's not like it's free.

I wouldn't have any objection to that idea, provided it was optional, personally i'm happy to wait for my bounties to be claimed next time I am in the relavent jurisdiction.
I would also say that on the scale of priorities this idea would rate pretty low, there are too many important things to fix first.

True, it's nothing I'd place too high up on the priorities list. What you said is fine for the major factions, but it's the one independent ones where I would need to backtrack 200LY to collect 5000CR. I'd prefer to just delete it off my list, rather than have it taking up space. But I think this would be a better solution than that.

Well, if you are travelling, you will meet some NPCs in crappy ship interdicting you. Its actually easier and faster to submit and kill them, than avoiding the interdiction. If you are just passing through the system, you cant be bothered to dock in a station 5k ls away. And then you have all this "5000 bounty in Shenanigan Clown Party" in your transaction tab. I dont want to go 200 ly to Shenanigan, and i dont want this on my transaction tab!

Alternatively, give option to discard the bounty vouchers.

not that im in favour of the proposal, but i have a fair few bounties that i do not want to collect as it would help factions in direct opposition to my goals. I'm left with a transaction screen full of chaff.

Good point. I would say there should definitely be an option to discard then as well.

I have over 100k credits easily in Alliance bounties. I have no desire to travel 160ly to the nearest alliance system. Still, no to this suggestion.

Yes, to the suggestion that you should be able to forget bounties at the faction level.

I have nearly 750k in Empire, closest being 122ly away. I'm in no rush, either - but the 3 major factions aren't really the issue. Is there a reasoning to your "no"?
