At present two players start affecting prices negatively on a high supply/high demand trade route. Still trying to figure that out myself.

Nope; that is great!! It means meta gamers will have less effect than I perceived on trading prices...

It actually only takes one Type-9 doing a grind to affect prices, but the effect is limited to about ~10% within ~2 hours of perma-grinding like crazy. Been there, done that myself.
When left alone, however, prices recover rather quick from that.
