voice attack.....help

not sure what you did....but:

- Voiceattack needs to run in ADMIN mode if you want to work it with ED

Not sure what you are doing, but in my Setup both ED and Voice Attack do not require Admin privileges.
It may be the case that VA needs admin permissions when ED also runs privileged, but when you run ED in your normal user account environment without privilege elevation, Voice Attack does not need admin permissions too.

I agree. I see people saying it needs to be run as Admin often, but it doesn't on my Win 8.1 system here.

My case: va did it too slow.. I wanted it to at least as fast as I manually done at least..

Had to spend awhile to tweak it till it works..

For me, that one liner press hold then release tends to fail or randomly executed late/too fast...

So I just manually do four lines instead for each press as I suspect the key release does matter to the game..

Press key A
Pause .01
Release key A
Pause .01

And just copy/paste.. It's long and ugly but it does the job fast..

Btw, I also have to use directx, not the standard one..

I have a docking sequence that I do when im about to enter the letter box.. the usual 4 pips to system and slow down etc..

and what cool is, using condition it will remind me to request for docking permission if I havent done so.. :D

"Warning, you have no landing permission.."

I wrote some tutorials on voice attack a while back.

So VA can track wat panel your currently on, then the docking command works regardless of what panel your on.

(a lot of these commands i don't use anymore as the head tracking i use negates the need for them)

Either way if you're new to VA my tutorials show how you can do some pretty neat stuff.

The links are in my Sig

Also i highly recommend not using macros to do your keypresses as if you ever change a binding in game you would need to go through all your macros and recreate them using the new bind.

Its much better to set up a command ((my-binding)) and add the key press to that.
The brackets prevent VA from recognizing it as a voice command.

Then in your macro choose execute another command and select the keybinding command.

No if your keybinds change you just have to edit the ((my-binding)) command and all macros that use it will use the new keypress.

I use a combination of voice attack and power grid with joystick and throttle. Power grid allows me to use my iPad as screen for quick easy key commands which can also assist with docking.

My docking request macro is:

Press 1 key and hold for 0.1 seconds and release
Pause 0.5 seconds
Press E key and hold for 0.1 seconds and release
Pause 0.3 seconds
Press E key and hold for 0.1 seconds and release
Pause 0.3 seconds
Press Space key and hold for 0.1 seconds and release
Press S key and hold for 0.1. seconds and release
Press Space key and hold for 0.1 seconds and release
Pause 0.3 seconds
Press 1 key and hold for 0.1. seconds and release

I´ve set pauses of 0.01 seconds between key presses and it works like a fast charm

If you add another two "E" key presses between the last "Space" and the final "1" it will reset the sequence so that if you need to abandon the docking request for any reason you can a) do it by using the same command again and b) re-request it.
