So last nights events made me smile as i lost more and more money.
Bounty hunting in Yembo

Tried out escorting traders to the station, they all thought i was a pirate and desperately avoided me in sc.....sigh ,despite an messages i sent, we need a BH guild so we can be identified.

Had my ass handed to me by a pirate commander with a fishy name, good flying sir

Had my ass handed to me again by and elite npc python, very impressed with the new AI, only just escaped

was interdicted by a pirate who I had a nice chat with before removing his shield and a layer of his hull to encourage him to leave

Had the same pirate who killed me complain that every hunter in the system was ganging up on him lols

Much fun and a 3ook loss over all

I posted this idea in another thread about Yembo but from the trading side of things.

I think FD should include an bounty hunting and ship escort sign up alongside trade community projects as the will attract a number of player pirates. This like the resource side would have a sign up but would then have an attached Galnet news item listing the commanders who had made this commitment. It could also have its own reward scale and to avoid being abused have its own punishment system for commanders who signed up then used that as a way of gaining access to traders.

maybe using a % safe traders as its measure or pirates killed or a combination of both

I tried to take up the bounty hunting in Yembo, but when I went there I found only clean traders and police. There was one Sidewinder with a 600Cr bounty (a player). I interdicted him, but got all soft-hearted and let him go!
