"global discount"

The combat community goal in BD+03 just finished, I noticed it was called a "global discount" which I assumed meant that it would apply globally (anywhere?) and I got 20% discount, but the discount only seems to apply to the station in Khasiri

I assume this is intended?.. I just flew to a different station to re-buy my modules for a cheaper price and they were all normal price?

I think their meaning of the word 'global' in this instance is to mean all items at that station..as in everything discounted to you, not just some items.

I could be wrong, but that's how I'd read it...

Yeah it seems that that's the case, hence the confusion.. a bit of a bummer considering it doesn't have any of the large size anaconda modules lol.. oh well..

they had a few, but I was after things like reactors, thrusters, shield gen etc, i'll double check, but most of the bigger modules weren't there,

No. The meaning is what it says - "Global Reward", ie everyone who partakes in the goal gets it, regardless of which tier (%) you personally achieve.

The available modules change every few hours (or some other fixed period of time).Im 100% sure about this because sometimes I can buy A7 shields or A6 FSD on founders world,sometimes I cant.

This is the biggest reward ever given in this game so far 20% off on modules and ships. Dont be ungrateful.This is bigger then the luxury farm.Because the rebuy costs are also reduced by 20% due to price.For non founders this is gold, for founders this is a chance to reduce everything for another 10%

Yea well, I didn't understand that it was only at that station and the reward didn't kick in right away, not even hours later, so I moved on and bought things elsewhere. My time > 20% discount that shows up... eventually.

If your time is more vaulable then a 20% discount youre playing the wrong game m8, and Im not trolling just being serious.

And 20% off expensive modules and ships equals hours and hours of farming credits.

And 20% off rebuy cost saves you hours of boring farming credits.

Yup I just replaced my Anaconda with a new Khasiri dealership floor model and also the weaponry. Rebuy cost went from 8.1M down to 7.5M. Definitely worth it, and I broke even on selling the Founders World Anaconda hull too. So exchanging my old ship for a new one turned out to be all positive perks. With the extra savings I was able to upgrade my shield cell banks from 5B's to 5A's and still have a little bit more cash than I started with.

Tonight I'll be flying out here with my Python to do the switcheroo as well. Maybe some of the missing goodies I saw last night like the 8A power dist and 7A shield gen will reappear in stock before the discount expires.

Actually, I'm not playing the game wrong. It's not as if I was able to get into a new expensive ship and fit it just because there was a discount, even with the discount I can't afford the next ship I want to fly. I'm not going to fly back to Khasiri and do the 50k Ls trek every time. I'm already off doing other things far away from Khasiri. If I don't need to buy anything, a 20% discount does me no good. Time is money, if I can make the amount of money I could save in the amount of time it would take me to get back there, I'd merely break even.

No, there is a mechanic in place so that people can't abuse it.

The process is a bit complicated. First go into outfitting and figure out which modules the station has in stock and which ones they don't. The ones you can't buy there you will want to rebuy from the buyback list.

Sell or downgrade all the modules that are available at the station. This way you get the full value back. Then exit the game and wait 10 minutes. This causes the buyback list to empty.

Log back in and make sure the buyback list is clear. Now sell all the modules that you can't replace there. This puts them in the buyback list.

Sell your old empty hull and buy the new discounted one. Then go to outfitting and buyback the stuff that is not available at the station. Finally buy the stuff you need that the station does have in stock.

I'm not sure if I found a bug or I missunderstood some part of the offer details.
I have completed but never claimed my Yembo Naddoddur Terminal 10% services discount.
I went out to find all the stuff I wanted like ChubbyBunneh stated and finally go back to Naddoddour last night.
Before the 1.2 update it appeared at the top of the Bulletin Board in gray at Naddoddour.
After update 1.2 the board message is missing.
But when I look up transactions in the Nav panel, the contract is still there in blue at the top of the list.
Is there a use it or lose it clause I don't know about or is this a bug?

Sounds like a bug or poorly explained game mechanic if you lose the reward if you don't claim it soon after it ends.

Submit a ticket and see what support has to say about it? Make sure they know you got jipped out of reward credits since you can't turn in, maybe that will speed their response.
