We want youre exploration data everyone

Another 2 million worth of data committed to our donation drive, feel free to come to pand and turn in youre exploration results

I was last in Empire Space in Kamitra and haven't got the fogiest if I'm anywhere near Pand. That said curiosity has got the better of me and my next destination is, with a high degree of probability, is Pand, I'll gather up some Exploration Data and some Rares from where I'm currently Stationed and head up that way as soon as Humanly possible. :D

much obliged sir, we have contributors adding to the data pile all the time, the hopeful goal is the devs give us a community exploratin goal. But barring that we also have a long term group that is involved in the background simulation

a friendly bump to remind explorers to bring their exploration data to pand as an unoffical community goal. Market rates ae paid and all exploration data is welcomed

I'm being serious here, I hope you are!

I'll be on the out bound leg until August this year and will then turn for home. I've already detail scanned approx. 500 systems since 5th Feb so figure I can get
to around 13000 or so come February 2016 barring any major incidents. Hull depletion below 50% and I'll return sooner.

If you're still in the market for data by the time I get back (doubtful, I know) then I'll drop in and sell. I think though that you'll have moved on by then.

well the pand group is long term and i intend sticking with it so im quite serious in saying drop youre data in when u get back

Fair play to you. I love long term goals so I'll drop into Pand as my first port of call when I get back. You have my word on it.

Now that's some serious dedication. A 1 year exploration is very impressive and something not many people would try. If possible keep us informed of your progress because it's a project I'd be interested in following. Good luck Cmdr VIDAR and God Speed to you.

Going to sell it to the Federation. :)

To be honest I hadn't thought about the faction but I'm not overly bothered who gets it. As it has been requested by Ollobrains for his Pand experiment then that'll do me. Always happy to help someone out who has a long term plan in action.

Maybe I should do a monthly log of sorts but I'm pretty sure it would bore the pants off most players.

Jump to system, detail scan everything, jump to next system and repeat. It's hardly captivating :)

It's surprising (or maybe not) how many systems are mundane Class M star systems with ice/rocky planets only.

I have had one setback so far which cost me 13% hull but that was my fault due to being distracted (RL happening around me) on exiting hyperspace. I learned from that mistake and when I was next caught in a triple star exit I managed to get out of it with no further hull loss.

The most beautiful thing I've come face to face with on hyperspace exit so far is a blue giant star. Mostly though it's Class M star, followed by Class M star, followed by...

Saying all that I have to literally force myself not to make 'just one more jump' and go to bed. Addictive it most certainly is :)

Id like to make a long range journey but have stuck with short range trips into specific sectors so far as the wider pand group i run is dong the economic-combat influence thing, data does help influence, however the main reason is that each faction has a certain amount of systems that it sees once data is given to it, if it can get a good picture of the universe it might attract more attention from the devs for community goals and otehr things. a lot of the system for events and other goings on isnt activated, but the devs have the programmed modules ready to turn on over time subject to finetuning. im just attempting to focus the community in this instance to get donations for an indpedant faction and make use of it over time
