Would it even be possible to listen to a broadcast while travelling FTL?

An in game mp3 playing might help you out when on those long trading runs.

I need a wide load sticker for my cobra. ;)

This has been mentioned many times, way back even in alpha and beta. Lots of us want a built-in MP3 player to play music while in SC. Personally I enjoy the Interstellar OST every once in a while ;)

I just load up my normal player on my second monitor, along with email, Facebook, youtube or whatever else I may be doing while exploring the galaxy!

I'd quite like a radio station that fits well in the well (I don't mean opening YouTube and listening, I mean like .. activating the Radio and listening to an official ED radio station, with music of the time, interviews etc (think GTA)). :)

All musician's were killed in the great "Elevator Music" wars of 2879. Since then, and to stop a repeat of such a catastrophe, musical instruments are limited to penny whistles and a triangle with a broken wand.

I guess a radio station would be cool for SC. But how the hell could it work, most of the time you're travelling faster than the radiowaves !

Easiest option is to have voice attack control your media player. Am all for Amateur radio stations, but I think ED created stations are too much of an effort. Take a look at GTA, top hosts and a multi million dollar budget, it still get's stale after a while.

I just fly with my own playlists. Still don't understand why we cant use that screen attached to our seats, at least make it a web browser or interface to our computers.

Easiest would be a config setting in Options that points to a folder with all your music in it; then that screen between your legs can by used to navigate through it.

Definitely would be a nice to have if a music player could play your music (Mp3 or iTunes and the rest), but for me the key would be that the computer can override it much like a sat nav in your car overrides the volume of your music when giving instructions (if all integrated). i would want static interference and damage effects too for when my ship is damaged, otherwise why have one? You could just you know, play music on another device whilst playing.

just open your preferred mp3 player? not really needed atm, or at least very low priority. A space wide Radio a la GTA radio is not possible as others already pointed out.
