Please remove the automatic UI FOCUS press upon SC/Hyper transfer

Upon entering/exiting Supercruise/Hyperspace an automatic UI FOCUS button press is made which is causing me to focus on a panel.

This disables my throttle when I am trying to decelerate upon exit to keep from hitting a star while using my keyboard. I have hit stars multiple times and have taken damage due to this.

I try to keep from pressing the keyboard when exiting/entering another travel state, but I cannot keep myself from doing it 100%.

People with HOTAS most likely don't experience this.

Just an FYI, when you're jumping and spooling up the panels become inactive so there's no point in looking at them. Don't disagree that this should be an option though. Also you can use your zero throttle setting bind key (mine is "X") from the jump countdown all the way through hyperspace and including the drop animation to set your throttle to zero. I do mine during hyperspace but alot of spacers do it during the countdown before the jump. There is NO visual feedback for your throttle setting however so you have to trust that you've pressed the key.

I have no idea what kind of problem you're describing. What is disabling your throttle? What UI focus on hyperspace? Just what?

If you keep holding e.g. "W" while jumping, at the end of the jump you are focused on the panel corresponding to "W". And it makes you can't drive the ship before you exit the panel mode.

This must be some artefact of the default keybindings because I still have no idea what you're talking about.

Precisely. I suppose I may need to try to use the 0% throttle key-binding instead.
I hold "S" when coming out of hyper-space to slow down, which causes me to focus on my comms, disabling my throttle.

It also causes a fairly irritating forced look to centre effect if you are using head tracking, it isn't anything at all major but it would be nice if it didn't do it :)

I doesn't do that in the rift, but the ingame joystick briefly resets when changing instances. Not really a showstopper, but irritating nonetheless:

I'm pretty sure it's a bug, though I haven't reported it because I just stopped doing what causes it.

OP, if you want that to stop happening, just don't hold down "S" between the end of the countdown and when you regain control of your ship. You lose a split second of slowdown, but that's nothing too terrible. Report it if it's bugging you I guess, but that's your workaround.

If you want to see this at home, do the opposite of what I said (hold S down during the countdown, til you regain control of your ship)

EDIT: Huh, didn't do it that time. Love this sorta thing...

Another fanboy minimizing others' problems despite they have been explained. Not very kind / constructive posting into a bug reporting thread with this behaviour. Thank you for your cooperation.

Funny that. I also have no idea what the problem is. I've read it a few times and still don't understand. Therefore I can offer no advice. Pity. Guess that makes me a fanboi eh?

He is a fanboy because he doesn't understand the problem? I don't understand it too. Since I don't experience this problem I might be able to help, but I need to understand what is happening there. On the other hand, I don't want to help anyone calling others fanboys without a reason, so just go and figure it out yourself.

I've got HOTAS and I want it disabled too... coz I also have head tracking and if I'm looking at something else it's annoying to have the game somehow pull my eyes back to the front.

There's plenty of explanations above on how to replicate the bug. If one wants to understand, he can. What's the point in going straight to "hey what's the problem, everything's fine here" before actually reading other players' reports? It's a bad attitude that unfortunately spreads all over the bug threads and it's really not helping nor welcome. It just makes those people suffering the bugs more irritated. I called it fanboyism, you can call it the way you prefer.
