So the Vulture IS what was the Hunter

Good news everyone, the Vulture is probably a sexy beast (also this proves again that because there is a name in a concept art doesn't mean it's final... I'm looking at you Imperial "Courrier" interior concept art with Imperial seats...)

Am I crazy or are those looking very similar ?

Now that I re read that title, that might be a bit too exciting, oh well, what I meant is "is probably"

AFAIK, the Hunter became the Imperial Fighter and is already in the game (NPC only).

That would be really sad, as I was looking forward to the hunter. I wish we could see what the new ship looks like... Why tease us with the interior?

Nope, those were different concepts, and they look different.

I don't think that the Vulture is the Imperial Hunter. The bars of the cockpit windows are shaped different. Now, you could say that it has changed from the concept, but then we are into 100% speculation.

Are you sure? the canopy from the newsletter has a lot of vertical space, while the one in the picture above is mostly horizontal like a Viper's.

Well - not 100%, but you can't really judge the depth of the cockpit on that top-down view.

However, what we know is that the Vultures manufacturer is Core Dynamics, so same as the Eagle and the Drop Ship.

So far, FD have stayed quite persistent when it comes to distinctive manufacturers 'themes'. The Hunter wouldn't fit at all.

Yep, definitely agree with that. It could be that the unknown ship in that top down view was still preliminary, and the final version will have the bigger canopy.

The canopy doesn't match up. It looks similar, but you can see that the Vulture canopy has far more facets and is far larger.

The Hunter looks more in line with a Gutamaya design.

Don't forget the layouts can change a lot from concept art to in-game model. That window might not match up to anything we've seen a sketch of before.
