Call to all Federation *AND* Empire pilots!

Hello Cmdrs!

As most of you know by now, the Federation has declared war against the independent system of Nijotec. 'Independent' being a bit of a misnomer here, we are talking about a system run by an organisation that gives absolutely zero Fargs about justice or even the most basic laws of civilisation. So clearly every pilot in the Federation navy not currently engaged should head over there and show these clowns the way out. But what many may not know is that the 2nd largest faction in the system is an local faction loyal to the Empire. I cannot begin to understand why, but the facts are what they are. So even though the Empire may not be officially involved, it would make sense for any nearby pilots of the Empire navy to join the war against these lawless brigands. The Federation did not start this war to get another system under control, we started this war to liberate an oppressed people. And if these people decide to use their freedom to join the Empire, so it'll be.

Maybe this tiny little situation can be the start of joined millitary operations between the glorious Federation and the Empire. And that might just be the thing that could save us from the Thargoids when they come...

Interesting - I wonder if imperial pilots could flip the system towards the Empire whilst fighting the Federation and the independents at the same time.

Would be interesting to see that happen whilst the federal navy operates in the system. Could be a stepping stone towards the war I'm hoping for (I doubt it, but one can still dream).

The Federation can fight its own battles, there are currently more places a bit closer to home that need the attention of imperial law. I might make a thread about one later. But don't worry, we'll clean up Nijotec when the time is right.

Have you been delivering Pot Noodles into Empire space? No wonder you got negative Imperial rep.
Federation is upto it's old tricks of 'encouraging' an independent system into anarchy prior to suppressing it militarily. I'm not helping them and I'll only be visiting if Imperial interests become threatened.

Don't worry, my little slavery-endorsing friend. The Federal Navy is currently dominating the conflict zones. With usually around 4-5 honorable Federal cmdrs cleaning the gutters around each planet I'm pretty sure we don't really need any help. Just thought it be a kindness to offer you guys a chance to add some experience and skill to your bravado.

Check GalNet. No one knows the actual mechanics, but it does provide a reason and context to do something. And judging by how busy the system was it seems to at least provide interesting gameplay.

O.K., guys, update:

There IS a community goal, related to the Nijotec GalNet-News: Sign up in Delbruck Ring, IGORODIMOS System! You can kill criminal scum in the conflict zones in Igorodimos or Nijotec System. Federal Capital ships are there, too.

And finally: You will NOT lose Rep with the Federation by joining their cause and cashing in the combat bonds! Thats just not true and spread by guys that mess up with the warzone-missions (absolutely no relation to the community goal).

So if you want to help the Federation and have some combat fun: join!

Rewards: (fourth tier already met) 15000 up to 3000000 cr and 10% outfitting discount so far (think it will go up to 20% as in bd+03 2338)

Haha, I got the same with the Alliance yesterday

Hauled 72tons of innocent Coffee (for a tame 20k) which affected both Factions (both Alliance) in their respective Systems :

Economic Boom UP
Economic Bust DOWN
Faction Influence in System 1 : DOWN
Faction Influence in System 2 : DOWN
Faction Rep in System 1 : DOWN
Faction Rep in System 2 : DOWN
Rep w/ Government : DOWN

As long as the Federation stays out of Alliance Territory I dont mind helping them against criminals.
The extra credits are really motivating, too

Of course there is a kind of "ranking" influencing my decisions: Alliance, Federation, Empire, Criminal independant factions ....
