Cheat Alert: 204k delivered to Furbaide within an hour?

There's a new Top player on the Top 5 Contributors list that was not there when I last checked an hour ago, and he brought in 204,219 tons. Yes, that much.

Within an hour.

How obvious can you exploit this?

The new #2 also was not on the radar at all, apparently also an exploit at work, just used not quite so obvious (but still obvious enough)

I'm gonna stop contributing as long as these cheaters are on the board.

Seems very suspicious but not exactly proof at this stage.

If your participating I'd say keep going for now. Ticket it and post in bugs, fingers crossed stats will be.... corrected.

Top contributor updates may have a delayed update schedule, just like everything else. I wouldn't go around screaming exploits until there's more definitive proof of foul play.

I've checked the board almost every time I docked, it has always been updated with great accuracy, and now we have someone who supposedly did 400 trips in a Type 9 since the Event started, which was 5 hours ago. 80 round trips an hour in a Type 9, to a 2k LS starport nonetheless?

This is pretty obviously not legit.

Ok well if the rate at which these contributions is higher than you'd expect, start taking timestamped screenshots for more accurate comparisons, then we can decide for certain if it looks dodgy. This is the kind of deal where hearsay isn't enough, since you're basically labelling whoever's name is on top as a cheater, which may well get them banned.

Is he selling them then buying them back immediately and they count again? I wondered about this when i was at yembo but couldn't be bothered to test it as exploiting it seemed dumb

That would be an explanation, if you deliver something a station has no demand for, you can buy it back. That would be 20 credits per ton on this particular port, which means this guy just burned 4 million credits to boost himself to the top of the board.

Loskene, are you actually at E-ffinger port? I traded this route hard in a Python and made made 5300 tons. Now someone is there who made 4 times as me (the current number 2), who was never even on the top 5 for the first 4 hours of this event, and now jumped to 19500. I find that fishy.

But the actual number 1 has 200k delivered. If you do the math with a type 9, that's 400 trips. Impossible to do in the 5 hours this event has been running so far. And that is not fishy anymore. That is way beyond fishy.

The player 2 isn't even on top 5 at 17:46, which means he had 1200 at best


2:20 later, he has 19k. That is 39 trips in a Type 9.

or 3.5 minutes round trip. The supercruise to the station takes longer than 3.5 minutes.

I have to go to work now, so I cant look at the board anymore. I really hope these guys are gone tomorrow.

Yup, i noticed with my first run that i could buy my 72t back and sell it again so i tried it but it only registered once on my total. After 4 runs i got bored and did some exploration on the way to jaques. Now im feeling guilty about those poor sick pixels

Yes I tested this as well before I logged. Bought 1 ton back, sold it again, but it did not count towards my total.

I assume this is the "be logged in twice in different locations" exploit.

Well at least you flagged this up, hope you PM someone with the evidence you have and it can be stopped (if indeed an exploit, but I'm thinking it's mighty strange).
