Combat Community Challenge - 20% off outfitting

Went and claimed my reward at Igorodimos at Delbruck Ring.
I see no 20% discount anywhere and the shipyard is a little disappointing with the only 'higher' level ship being a Type7.
Are we having to wait again for this to be manually 'turned on'?

Last time it takes something like 9 hours to take into effect. It 's supposed.y automatic but for whatever reeason not instant. Which is roundabout now.

Yeah that was a flop. Almost no targets only 4 combat zones in 2 systems. Sound glitches up the wazoo and teleporting enemies when they did show up suddenly turning you red.
in addition nothing worth using the 20% discount on.
11/10 would slam my face against the keyboard again.

Will they add anything to the station? Cause as is they have almost nothing worthwhile and the discount isn't even working. ><

They do add, half heartedly, some stuff to Banki (there was literally nothing on the outfitting shop there though), they add nothing for Khasiri. My money is on no, there's already stuff here + you can actually check beforehand if the reward is worth it.

i personally think its not worth it, but I did 1 tour anyway since I was around (enough to make me top 40%, funnily) . Planning to check once more after discount kicks in on my Anaconda on the way to my trading area if there is any modules that I dont already own discounted, most likely there wont be anything I can use really...

So... the 20% is for anyone who participated enough to get into the participation ribbon tier? If so, could I then sell off my current Asp, and buy a new one at 20% off, decreasing my insurance costs?

I think you just need to blow 1 Ship to get into the 100% tier & get the discount. Is that what you meant?

On Asp, yeah. You lose 10% for selling Asp, but gain 20% (for net gain of 10%) and lower insurance.

Bueno. I was looking at it as a long-term investment, to try and get my insurance costs down. I guess the standard procedure is still sell all items on ship, sell ship for new ship, rebuy all modules at the station since you can rebuy all your modules for the same price you sold them for?

what annoys me the most was that the Goal barely lasted longer than a day while the tier thresholds for trade goals are astronomically and impossible

Standard Procedure is bring ship you want to rebuy to station, buy new ship, outfit with best available discounted module (this will make the default E module available for rebuy), go back to old ship, strip/downgrade everything to the cheapest stuff (make use of the E modules you just sell as needed), go back to new ship, buy needed non discounted modules you just sold to complete your new ship, sell old ship.

Do note that basic modules that come with your discounted ship are not discounted, so replacing them all (yes that means the fuel tank too) with discounted model from the shop means further savings.

Some of the numbers people were posting for earnings from the incredibly tiny combat bonds were enormous, they had obviously worked something out that I haven't and that's quite possibly why the objective went so quickly - i was told repeatedly and saw a screenshot that the top contributor was 26mil~ thats very similar to my all time bounty earnings which is 2100 ships and a large percentage of my kills will have been worth substantially more than the 15k combat bond max.

Derath: was responding to you but i deleted my initial post as it might fell foul to new rules (getting used to it).

There is a way that is not cheating I read, it is tedious and really not worth it, but I suspect is used here. Might count as exploit (not my authority to declare that), but it's a clever use of a game mechanic that we rarely use as we deem them as useless.
