Awesome addition to my set up!

Howdy all!

I just picked up a bargain! £20 for a 2nd hand X-Rocker 2.1 leather vibrating chair. Aside from it being just a wee bit too low for my desk it is bloody superb! Anyone else got one? And if so, anyone modified it so it's a bit higher?

My son has one and doesn't use it, as he also moans it is too low when he is playing on his x-box one

I have looked to see if it can be made higher, but had not luck, but if it could, I would use it also for E D

I even looked on added it to an old chair frame I had, so I could use it like a normal chair, but the frame is too thin to bolt/weld it onto the chair frame

I feel your pain! I had my current chair stripped down and was drilling new holes in the seat support to facilitate the X-Rocker bolts...
Problem is, when I fitted the X-Rocker to the old chair base the angle of the seat meant that my feet didn't touch the floor. And I'm 6 foot lol

Only way i managed to do this was build a platform for the X-Rocker that was long enough for both the X-rocker and your feet when sitting, as stated above its the angle thats a problem if you try to just fit the chair on another base. the build i did raised everything 18" just a rectangle box platform with one step at the side.

did this for my nephew when i got him his new computer.

Snap 6' 2 and when I looked at it, realised the same things, that I would have been leaning back, feet in the air, so not sure how comfortable it would be or how I would hold my joysticks and also how safe!!

Not that's an idea, build a wooden base and drop the seat into it, with the angle pitched to suit the best position. Might have to get my tools out and have a look and see

I went the other way and lowered the whole setup. Low wall mounted TV, keyboard sits on a wooden bench on slidey castors & HOTAS on two chopped off bits of an old TV stand. Entry and exit is a little undignified, but once in it's very cockpity!

Have you tried getting your avatar to sit on your lap and fly for you...the combination of that and a vibrating chair is pure win

I just showed my wife your post and she laughed her ass off! She didn't realise I was using her pic but for the cost of the photo shoot you can be damn sure I'm getting my moneys worth!

Even though it's low... it is bloody brilliant!!!

How have I never used an X-Rocker before?
