If the design topics over on the DDA were items on the menu, and the retail release was dinner time, how do you think the chefs would rate FD? Did we get the dish as listed on the menu?

After having a read through a few topics, very few resemble what we have now- some definitely do though, so they do appear to be more than just empty words and idle discussion. The menu looks delicious, and for me personally, whets my appetite in expectation of the delights to come.

My guess is, though, the chefs would be disappointed they didn't get what was on the menu, and that the dishes seemed to come out missing ingredients or served under cooked. While they found the entree wonderful, mains and desert were a let down, and while being edible, left them with an awkward feeling of what might have been. I think they'd go with an overall score of 6 and hope they survive till the next round.

I honestly don't remember seeing any MKR threads before this.

In all seriousness though, I had just spent some time on the DDA reading threads on finalized (I guess conceptually) features, and it was such a juxtaposition against what we have now. I like the game for what it is, but reading what it could/should have been saddened me. It would be interesting to see how much of it is still included moving forward, and what time frame we have on it, is all.

I'd love a timeframe too, but it seems to me that all of these features are being added in bit by bit. Wings, 2 new ships, better USS's, and improved community goals will be coming in the march update alone. Who knows what the april, may, june, and july updates will have to offer.

Its nowhere near completion, but I love how it grows over time. I do agree we should get a better schedule of this though.

Based on FD's record for adding features regularly so far, I believe that we will see all those features and more eventually, but only time will tell

It would be interesting to know what will come from it moving forward, but like all the other threads about the same thing - we dont know. So there is really no point in discussing it until we actually have it (in a new thread that is).

This thread is 3-5 months late. THAT is why phrases like "flogging a dead horse" will get bandied about.


That stuff went on and on (and on) throughout September, October and November 2014.

The only sensible response back then was, "time will tell".


Your question is, "Will Elite get destroyed by the judges at the reveal?"


Asking that NOW, in February 2015 is just plain odd... because you know the answer already.


If you dislike some part of the game, that's fine. You're most welcome to express your opinion.

...but dressing it up as a "What would the reviewers say?" challenge is easily answered... because you can just go and read them!
