So one year ago today ED's Kickstarter campaign started.
I can't believe all the excitement, anticipation, worry, disappointment, Jontying and ultimately celebration started a whole year ago today!

That year flew! I mean it, where did that time go!?
(something I bet Mr Braben and the rest of the guys n gals at Frontier are asking themselves too! :p)

Anyway all the best guys, here is looking forward to what we will be doing this time next year!

(little disappointed there was no official announcement or special message (or reveal) commentating this milestone)

They might do something official for the 1st Anniversary of the success of the KS campaign, that's really ED's first birthday - it was a twinkle in DB's eye til then. ;)

Sorry Liqua, but I have to disagree on this one. I didn't follow events on the KS forum so had no idea what "Jontying" was but I quickly understood it when it was used here and was not alienated at all.

It's easy to feel a need to fight a corner that isn't ours but that corner doesn't always actually need fighting.

There seems to be a tendency to underestimate the intelligence of the general populace by the news media and the government. Let's not do that here.

I think we have created a new and brilliant word for a situation that did not previously have one.

Plus, it is a perfectly cromulent word and it embiggens a man to use it.

Moreover, what has become of Jonty ? he is almost never on the forums

Also: I wasn't part of the KS since I didn't notice it early enough, but I thought the term "Jontying" was brilliant and the story how it came to be was nice... I did jonty my pledge too, twice. ;)

And Liqua's right - let it die. I'm fed up of explaining it and can't be arsed when the forums explode with new members.
