No thanks. I liked this actor's characters on TV and movies but, he didn't really contribute anything to mankind, other than entertainment. I'm sure he was a nice guy and all but, it's not like we was Newton, Einstein, or Hawkings or any of the hundreds of thousands that deserve an honor far more than an actor. Just my opinion.

Carl Sagan obviously. Leonard Nimoy played a well known character but he was no scientist & only a so-so actor. It would be a complete travesty to name the first community station after him just because his death happened to coincide with the poll. Spock would argue against such an unscientific approach...I challenge you to name one person who has inspired more space scientists than Leonard Nimoy.
