How are the Elite books?

The title says it all. How are the Elite books which are sold in the store?

Been thinking of perhaps buying one and seeing what they are like. Any recommendations for a good book at first?

There isn't one I haven't enjoyed immensely ..some funny, some violent / sexual etc.
Something for everyone! :p

They're not exactly Iain M. Banks quality of Sci-Fi ...but certainly at least vaguely entertaining and a good insight into the Elite world.

After reading the description of the books, I don't think that there is a best book to start with. All of them seem to be separate stories happening in Elite world.

So any book will do I guess.

Elite: Tales From The Frontier is a good place to start. It's an anthology so there's plenty of stories in there to keep you amused. If you can stretch to it I'd recommend the audiobooks. The Fantastic audiobooks aren't just the normal dry readings you've heard from other books. They have the passion of enthusiasts who want their audiobooks to be best ever, coupled with the experience of Toby Longworth and Penny Macdonald.

Hi,

I've enjoyed the ones I've read so far: -

Elite Dangerous: Mostly Harmless
Elite Dangerous: Wanted

Just started Elite Dangerous: Reclamation

As others have said, they're a good insight into the world that is Elite.

Tales from the Frontier might be a good one to start with as it's 15 stories in one book, so might give you a taste to read some of the others.
