Okay, time to guess the stats for the Fer De Lance:

Hardpoints: 4 x mk2 (maybe 1 x mk3 and 2 x mk2)
Utility Hardpoints: 3
Power Plant: 5
Thrusters: 5
Frame Shift Drive: 4
Life Support: 3
Power Distributor: 4
Sensors: 4
Fuel Tank: 4
6 internal compartments:
1 x 5
2 x 4
1 x 3
1 x 2
1 x 1

More agile than the Cobra mk3, but slower. Hull about as strong as the Cobra mk3, stronger shields.

Any other takers :cool:

Good guesses but we really need to know the ship's hull weight to place a good idea on here for speculation ''bliss''. I would have thought maybe a little over the 280 tons of the Asp or maybe a little below that weight.I would hope for 4 or 5 hard points, and as it is a high end bounty hunters ship you would expect maybe 4 medium or if we are really lucky 2 large and 2 medium hard points at least chap.

I think it'll have 4 utility hardpoints, seeing as they said it's the "Ultimate" bounty hunter ship, and I'd say you'd need 4 slots for that. Three could work, but if it's pricey I'd expect at least 4.

I think the weapon layout could be a 2x Medium 1x Large setup as that would go along with the ZP 3 gun layout they went with on the Adder, and seeing as that would work well on the triangular shaped hull (Large point front center, with the mediums either side).

Shields: max. 5

Strong points:
+As fast as a Cobra
+About as agile as a Cobra
+Plenty of guns
+Good capacitator size to support said guns
+Good shields

Weak points:
-Mediocre jump range, ~Eagle level (max 16-18Ly depending on loadout)
-Will have to watch its overall power consumption (similar to a Viper)
-Maximum cargo bay size only about the same as a Cobra unless downsizing shields (an Asp would be a far better trader)
-Needs medium pads

Price: ~10million credits

I think the oval on the top behind the cockpit is a large hardpoint, and 2 med 1 large is like the Adder 2 small 1 med, but scaled up to a larger ship size.

Price will be same (ish) as Clipper.

From what ive heard the Ferdi is a 'rich players plaything' incredibly expensive. Hoping for a Cobra or Asp lvl ship forget it. Its for the rich elites only.

I think if im right then it will hack a lot of people off. Many players are hoping for a ship to rival the Asp or Cobra.

Assuming the FDL is basically a specialist combat ship I don't see why people think it will be between the Asp and the clipper unless the vulture is 2-3m. There is NOTHING combat ship size after the Viper at 145k and the only other one is 40k for an eagle. Everything release apart from those two aren't dedicated combat ships. Sidewinder/Cobra/Asp/Python and Conda are multi role so I hope it isn't a multi role ship as we have more than enough. And trading is a lot better represented.

It would be foolish to have it be a great deal more expensive than the Asp/Vulture, since it's supposed to be a bounty hunting ship (according to lore, please correct me if I'm wrong), so the running costs are going to have to be "decent."

Would be a mistake imo, it was a bounty hunting ship in previous games and there is a massive hole in the combat ship market post Viper. Maybe a variant when they get introduced later would be a good place for the luxury cruiser, but surely that's the clipper.

It doesn't seem to be that big. If the size is around Cobra or Asp size, it won't be that much, especially as a lot of costs come from modules and it won't have the modules large ships have.

Note it is said to be 'expensive', but the Asp is expensive compared with the Cobra and everything below (with only the Type-6 being between). More than 10x more expensive; even the Python is not 10x more expensive than the Asp, and not even 6x more expensive than the dedicated trader similar in size.

You know that when the beta server comes up everyone's going to rush to it and be annoyed when they find out that the price is 100Cr.
