Does that mean I'm no longer unemployed and now earning money through Frontier Developments I wonder if I should let Centre-Link know. This could be a violation of responsibilites of only earning through my pension.

V Interesting read. Things that immediately jump out to me include:

1. "Completed adaption of proprietary Cobra software technology to work with 64-bit CPU architectures" (page1)

2. ..."but on the additional platforms the levels of success could be higher still" (page 3). - E D on playstation/console?

3. "Frontier expects Elite: Dangerous revenues to grow gradually in a similar way to other PC online games, but also that it will hit a quality resonance at which point revenues would increase significantly" (page 3). Presumably this refers to hitting a critical mass of players and selling merchandise/in game wotnots?

It's good that they plan long term profit return on this. Interestingly what "quality resonance" means in investor's terminology.

I must say these years numbers look very encouraging (if I read correctly, 7.2M in cash before IPO). Not a investor type, but seems company is in good shape. Good luck guys in future :)

2. xbox one springs to mind (zoo tycoon being a key launch title) - tablets anyone?

3. a gaming experience of such high level, that simply everyone has to buy into e:d :D ... maybe planetary landing and future expansions. though the wording is prolly used to dismiss the notion of e:d having to sell lots of units at release.

"Quality Resonance" definitely means a promise of a fully newtonian flight model. Yes.

Not a trend I started or one that I am alone in continuing, I'm afraid.

Indeed I get a nervous twitch in my eye when I read those words now.

Back to the topic, looks like good figures and some interesting bits and bobs released in particular the conversion of the Cobra engine to 64 bit is surely telling in that there will surely be a 64 bit version.

"Quality resonance" could mean the end of the gamma phase. Or it could just mean they intend to start with very slow growth, patiently improving the game with a core fanbase before an explosion of interest in future.

I agree with Darren's interpretation above. Dedicated customer base will take it forward and the wider public will pick up on it when it reaches a critical mass/completion/level of features.

You had to do it eh? But you know as with all threads the subject is relevant here -

Interesting point:

They have a guy called Neil Armstrong listed as the company secretary. :)

It's now perfectly obvious why nobody at FD had any fun dogfighting with realistic newtonian controls. ;)
