If you have a good internet connection, I think that isn't really needed.

Ctrl alt G disables your HUD. F10 takes a screenshot, if you're in solo or private group Alt F10 takes a 4* resolution screenshot.

Is there an alternative to CTRL+F? It's fine on my PC but the left CTRL key on my work laptop is broken... I've tried Fraps but you have to remember to run it before you start.

It's handy as an early warning system for other players in your instance, so they should get rid of it.
