lol i bought the python a little to soon (had enough for insurance and that was it) but i went back to clipper to get enough for insurance and few upgrades and enough for full cargo ^^
happily sold my *insert f word here* python and trade now with a Type9 for Fer-de-Lande, maybe Vulture or Clipper for Civil Wars (cheers to AEDC) and Anaconda. I hate the python that much (for combat), won't buy it even when i have enough money to buy every ship.
Just nerfed to death (for combat)
what are the dimensions of these ship anyway? length width and beam.
I hate to say it but if you think the python sucks at combat the problem isn't the ship but the one controlling it. The only real weakness the python has is it's speed and repair costs. The repair costs will be drastically lower in 1.2 so that leaves only one weakness. If your opponent runs away count it as a win because it is.
The Clipper is pretty quick. Sluggish isn't how I would describe it.BUT - but, the Clipper can not land on outposts. This is the major drawback (and it's sluggish, so it doesn't have anything over the Python)
They promised that the Python would go through another pass for balance (so much for promises) The reclassifying the Python as a trader is a joke (very bad joke) as the setup of the Python is the same or better than the dedicated fighters that are coming into the game.
With the Python's agility slower than the Anaconda's ( I'm speaking of all A-Equipment, that's all I fly) It's clear they will either nerf the Anaconda, do nothing, or give the Python some meaningless perk like more power. I think it's time FD un-nerf the Python's agility and speed a bit and stay true to their word.
So you would discourage me jumping from the Clipper to the Python... Is it maybe better to buy a T9 and get the cash fast to full upgrade a Clipper (until Mirrored + A7 Shields I mean) instead of doing it more slowly in a Python? Even considering more profitable routes that involve outposts?
at the moment I have a 60M Clipper and about 20M Cr. And I am getting bored as hell over the same route since one month.
