Game Fatigue

Greetings all.

Game fatigue..

I asked on the Star Trek Online forums about playing a game too much and can we be get tired of it..
most said yes.

now as a newbie in ED I am still getting used to this game, and learning new things.. anyways I keep up with the posts on this and that etc, and man this game has alot too for me to learn.

question is for those who backed the game.!
· have you been playing it too much?
· what where you promised when funding etc..

its new players like me who bought the game in December, who now have too keep up with you lot.
I'll stay with my cobra as it can pvp/pve; great for exploration; so I have no need to buy any other ship.
so the game is already doomed..!

just wondering if any off you lot are tired off playing ED?

I'm certainly not. But I don't just play ED, and I've never really tried the really grindy rares runs or mining. I've noticed that pretty much all of the people that complain about burnout are 1. dedicated traders grinding rares for weeks on end and 2. are usually working towards a specific ship and quit shortly after getting it, when they realise that the ship doesn't actually let them do anything new.

The way to not get burned out playing ED is(IMO) not to do anything you don't like to do. If you enjoy bounty hunting, bounty hunt. If you enjoy trading, trade. If you find yourself getting bored of something you used to enjoy try something else for a bit and come back to it later. Just remember that you can have as much fun in a sidewinder as in a conda.

-what were you promised when funding etc..
do you mean in terms of game content or backers rewards?

Tierd of Elite : dangerous?
No ! the game is everything I used to dream of in a game. and I like how the game dosent care about me or you or anyone and how it try and build a world were everyone is as important or rather worthless as each other.
I have been playing as much as I can sins beta and I still love the game. for me the only grind is real life were I have to grind my boring job to get to elite dangerous.

Certainly not yet!
I've been doing various different things since I earned enough credits for some ship upgrades. Sometimes I go exploring, or do a few missions for my local faction. Or maybe it's time for some trading... or bounty hunting.
Don't think I'll be done for quite a while yet....

Elite Lesson Number 1 - it's NOT about the biggest ship. There is nothing to keep up with.

This, I've been playing since beta and after probably 1000 hrs gameplay the biggest ship I've had is an Asp. And I don't fly that too much, only when I feel the need to go rare trading. Viper and Cobra are my bread and butter.

Elite Dangerous is all about the journey my friend. Nothing to do with the biggest ship, the most money, the best trade routes etc. I have a Clipper because its the best all rounder, apart from exploring when I use an Asp. I will get bigger ships eventually, but I am in no hurry, and you are not at a disadvantage by starting now.
