whoever decided to make maintenance in peak time for most of players must be brainless, lol

FD pls kick him out,

but seriously perfect timing, plus if that is 1.2 release then it will not be possible to play for another x hours, cause download server is somewhere on Greenland.

Suits me. This is the UK after all, we work until 1700 hrs, and will be able to download when we get home.

Also, the update really should be rolled out during the working day of those whose job it is, rather than insisting they work through the night. I have two reasons for this; the first being that these people have families and homes to go to, and secondly that worker efficiency drops off when they are tired. Choose which reason you prefer.

Yep. Its perfect timing. Get in from work, start the download, do the things you have to do then settle down for some Elite time

A little childish really as you cannot expect them to stop the game when you are not playing. It would of been better if they did this at 12:00 GMT as if there were any fixes, which there will be as normal, then it will give them X amount of hours to fix issues. I am glad that FDev are who they are because at least they are not CCP in their early days when patches and bugs took days to fix.

Be glad that its now and not at 18:00 GMT otherwise you will not be playing again until tomorrow night.

God, if I had a penny for every time someone complained about maintenance times on an MMO...

Let's face it, it comes down to if the time effects "ME" then it's bad and the company doesn't know what they are doing. Get over it! Really... The world does not revolve around you.

Think you just managed to insult all of Australia in one go.. Look, devs are English, company is English, they operate on UK times. I am +3 hours ahead near Dubai, slow downloads means I probably wont see log in till toorrow. They can't please everyone, Deal with it.

Just maybe the maintenance that's being done now (I'm assuming that's why the griping) is part of the upgrade, and the server side takes a bit longer. Or maybe something broke.

You'll get to play 1.2 shortly...and forget about this waiting as you discover that wings of NPCs can be quite brutal at times.

That would mean a rollout in the _morning_ as you then have several hours of a normal working day to iron out eventual kinks.
