It's looking like the Vulture will cost 20million, the FDL 100million. Thoughts?

How do you feel about the speculated pricing of the Vulture and FDL (coming in 1.2)

if these are the prices then it is rly a shame, i personally believe this is a big mistake by Frontier and it will discourage a lot of ppl that were hoping for a cheap fun ship like the vulture. I hope they changed their stats and improved them by a lot to justify that price.

Any fighter with a rebuy cost higher than its earning capability is a loser from the get-go. I won't be buying either of these until they either severely reduce the initial purchase price or make it possible for higher tier combat vessels to actually earn their money's worth.
I'd really love some insight into their decision-making process behind ship costs, because it's impenetrably stupid from my outside perspective.

It took me weeks to grind out 30 mil, hoping that you guys would be reasonable... But this...? This...? I don't... I can't even...

Words cannot express my disappointment. These are two ships that I was very excited for, but now I'm probably never going to be able to fly.

I can't.. I just...

I don't think the prices should be lowered, but I do think that rewards for combat roles need to be increased. Compared to the Viper and the Asp, I'd say the FDL is worth that much, but the amount of time it would take to get via combat is not what I'm willing to put in. Personally, I consider trading to be very boring so that's not for me. Some might say that means this isn't the ship/game for me. Currently it isn't, but I'd like it to be.

Very eager to see if/when FD addresses the feedback on ship prices and the economy of different professions. Maybe these expensive ships will come with expensive bounties to cash in. A hunter can dream.

Now that we have confirmed prices, the Vulture is indeed way too expensive, even considering it's combat capabilities.
The FDL I don't mind as much, though, since I was already expecting that it was going to be expensive also given how it's described.

On the plus side, it means that they won't be getting the nerf hammer. I'm more worried about getting jumped by a flight of vultures in my T7 while having only vipers for escorts, cos AIs don't have to pay for their ships.

I can't judge the price of the FDL. Perhaps it is worth it, perhaps not.

I can judge the price of the Vulture. 20 mil is simply far too much for an un-upgraded dedicated combat ship.
It is in the same price range as the Clipper and the Clipper is already a ship most commanders are not willing to risk in pvp combat, or combat against large elite npc targets.
The Viper is so popular because it's price encourages experimentation in combat and losing it is not a big problem.
The Vulture in that price range is a fighter for billionaires only.
I will buy one eventually, but for combat against npc only.

I can live with the price of the FDL but the price of the Vulture at nearly 22m is just a joke. I'd love to know what kind of weed the guys and gals at Frontier were smoking when the came up with this price :p . I can get a Clipper for this price and in fact I think thats what I'll do. I won't be going near the Vulture unless there's a serious rethink or explanation about the prices.
