Fuel Scoop & Heat Mechanics

Greetings fellow Explorers and Commanders alike.

Could someone explain to me the changes in fuelscooping and the ramifications on heat management?

I'm a few thousand LY from home and can't quite get my head around it so if anyone can put it in terms that a dim person can understand I would appreciate it.

Basically they have re-scaled the temperature gauge - so the new 100% is the old 130%.

So, you should see you ship appear to run cooler on the new heat indicator, but if you were fuel scooping and took the gauge up to 90% - 100% (like you used to) you would now be taking damage (since on the old indicator you would be around 130% or whatever). I would just exercise caution until you get used to it ;-)

It's got dashes on the gauges to help explain it.

Thanks all, I appreciate it.

It kind of feels like I can play it a bit hard and loose with charging my FSD even when close to the star... It seems less sensitive. I don't know if I like it but evolve or die I suppose.
