Sold my python for a Vulture

So my Asp is definitely a tough beast but perhaps still lacks bite ... Do the Vultures 2 x C3 weapon mounts allow it destroy targets significantly faster than a fully kitted Asp?

Name one ship that is significantly faster than an Asp. Sure there are faster ships, but the Asp is pretty fast itself.

What I like about the Vulture is the lateral speeds. You can really put your teeth in a Conda's behind and stay there eating away the shield and hull. I've kitted mine with one C3 fixed beam and one C3 fixed canon. If you want to focus in smaller targets, then maybe the Eagle can help your more with that. That little fella has the same purpose, but only for smaller targets.

The Vulture is in my eyes an agile big game hunter, but with much better shielding compared to its cababilities than the Eagle.

I was a little shocked to see the 22 mil cost of the vulture, but damn that thing is worth it. You are killing anacondas and pythons easily. With my setup i cant mount shield cells but never needed them. I went with shield bossters instead and it works great!

I highly recommend this ship.

Brilliant - thanks very much.

Stuck in my Cobra for the foreseeable future then :(

Why? I did RES grinding in my Viper pre 1.2, and if you get the right spawns (which are even better now) you could easily get 400k or more in an hour or nearly 1 million if you get anaconda spawns. I would run 4 pulse lasers so i could loiter until my fuel ran out.

You can also string multiple elite anaconda kills together, and often end up with many of them in the same system.

Sorry but for hunting small targets the Vulture is 10x better than the Eagle.

Even if my python wasn't 10k ly away I would not trade her in. Maybe one day when a ship worthy of such a sacrifice comes along but certainly not for the over priced ugly vulture that will be stuck in combat zone.

If I wasn't planning on doing some heavy duty exploration soon I would dump my fully kitted Asp for a Vulture in a blink. The thing is an absolute beast in a dogfight. Sidewinders and Eagles explode if you look at them, and anything up to an Anaconda is helpless prey. No fancy weapon load needed, a pair of class 3 gimballed pulse lasers is more than enough. I tried it with bursts in beta but came away thinking the pulses were more efficient. My only complaint is that it makes the new adrenaline pumping RESs a little less exciting. For that reason I'll never trade in my Cobra, I need that when I want to get my heart rate up.

So what lasers have you guys fitted on your vultures? I am thinking of having 1 gimbled so I do constant damage and then one beam to use while I get a good position on the ship.

One for each mousebutton and of course place them at the same side as the mousebutton.

See the post about possible incoming price discounts on all "combat" ships.

What? Where?

2 C3 Pulse Lasers works great on my IC, NPC's pop like balloons.
People usually underestimate C3 Pulse Lasers.

Though, I'm not familiar with the PD capacity on Vulture, Burst might be viable.

I use one Class 3 Beam and a Class 3 cannon, both fixed. Its a bit harder to hit the smaller ships, but since i focus on bigger ships (clipper, dropships, python, anacondas) i hit them with easily. With full pips to weapon i can fire the beam long enough to drop the shields of any ship and the cannons shred the hull together with the laser. Maybe i switch the loadout around a bit but so far i like it this way.

I did this too and I have little regrets as I love how python looks but will see after I have time to hop in conflict zone.

Speaking of RES... I visited a couple of anarchy RES yesterday but: Every single time I jumped in I wasn't able to kill more then one or two targets. Police forces were attacking me immediately after a kill... pro 1.2 this was not the case. Does anyone know why this is happening?
