Scariest thing just happened to me

So youknow i just got the type 6 so id start trading some silver since i found a nice area for it. i get jumped by 3 guys they are all in a wing and all players and they are in cobras... so they ask me to stop... and i thought ok ill stop to see if they just want cargo or to destroy my ship... as soon as i stop they open fire. i instantly book it with the CL5 shields i have i though screw this cobra ram right in to him. charge up my drive and get the hell outa there as soon as i did that i jumped out of cruise... and were here im telling ya! this is like DayZ they wanna be friends... then they shoot you

Fun tip:
Equip mine launchers.
Pirate asks for cargo.
Stop, Drop cargo (plus some mines)
Run and hope they don't notice the mines...

Why? Have they fixed mines so that they are useful? Previously mines had no significant effect on a ship with shields, so useless.

Also, he won't mistake mines for cargp. They show as triangular white on the rader, similar to missiles.
Also, they are ejected in a different direction than cargo, so they won't be mixed together.

So not a useful tip. Unfortunately.

You should be able to eject cannisters which are filled with explosives and when they pick them up you can detonate them like c4 remotely.

Now that would be.... EPIC!!!

Mines are great. Killed at least twenty ships with them.
Only muppets mind you though. Anything NPC that's higher ranked than competent will be able to avoid them easily.
Novice etc... get blown to smithereens and I get an easy bounty while I'm charging the Space Cow's drive.

Yess!!! Keep 'em coming, the horror stories about bad guys ganging up against poor small people like us!!!....I haven't ventured out yet since my return to civilization right before 1.1....makes me pee a little to go out there now!!!
