Fuel for my T9 is now pocket change, kinda makes the fuel scoop obsolete for traders now and I now have extra cargo racks for my T9. Good times are here indeed lol
To be fair, fuel scooping should really be reserved for pilots wanting to travel long distances.
I like this change. I didn't mind how things were before but it's fine that it's been changed because it made no sense before and was an arbitrary tax on players with larger ships that forced you to use a fuel scoop.
I kind of don't agree with this change. Fuel scope is useless now.
No, it's not. You can't travel longer than a certain distance without docking. Some ships burn up fuel very quickly and it's far too risky to go on a long trip without a fuel scoop, unless you want to micro-manage your trip to include stations at certain ranges (which is both annoying and time consuming). So the fuel scoop is still useful for anyone wanting to travel (and you need to travel in most ships at some point). It's an essential module for explorers, which is one third of the game's primary careers. And I'll be using one every time I go further than 100LY. Which is
often, even when I don't explore.
What the fuel scoop
was was simply a way to eliminate the cost of fuel in big ships anyway. I seriously doubt that was its intended use. And fuel scoops cost nothing, because you could sell it for 100% cost as soon as you were done with it. I say fuel scoops now have a true purpose, rather than just being the essential fuel cost eliminator. They'll now be used only by those who travel long distances. And when you think about it, really think about it as if fuel scoops had only just been added to the game, isn't that what you'd
expect them to be used for?
Essentially, the high fuel costs were pointless
because of fuel scoops. It's a no brainer, really.
