Steam overlay and VR

One thing I like to do in ED is trading. Obviously you have to use websites to find the best deals, and this requires the Steam overlay if you want to use the OR.

The problem is, the Steam overlay is no where near friendly with the OR. It tries to switch from game mode to window mode. And, this means you have to basically shut one eye, and line up the web window with that one eye.


Does anyone have a solution to make the Steam overlay friendly with the OR?

Trading tools? LOLOO I can find better runs anytime over the lame, out of date trading tools and I have never run rares. Try playing the game.

This problem is still around. I just had a chance to play with SteamVR with ED, and it doesn't work. Does anyone know a fix to this?

Hmmm, I guess my problem was the game not open, me not flying my ships, me not fighting, and so on. Oh wait, I've been doing these things. So I guess I've been playing the game.

Unfortunately this is a problem that we are hoping to be addressed - a notepad in game or something, but nothing has been mentioned yet by FDEV :(

Thanks for the heads up. One of the easiest ways they can fix this problem is by just uploading the game to Steam. Like 90% of the problems I find (not having real world time, no notepad, no browser, etc) can be fixed by just this one move.
