Wing 1.2 and Solo play

I just play game few minutes ago. Standard action.
Burn engine, jump to near RES. Wait for combat.
Do some profit, fun.

It seams, there is no problem. But unlucky one appears.
In less of few second i made Ten and more enemy's.
All in team wing. Now i'm under concentrate fire.

All tnx to Shield boost and Hull armor upgrade kit i survived.

I'm i crazy if i say: This is not honest? To deal with it? Damn i will!

I've read that in different places now.

Seeing "in a Wing" on an Opponent now should be given due considerations.
At bare minimum, when engaging one - be ready to become fully defensive and out of there at any time.

Elite Dangerous have name, the name (this name) must be justified. Like promise or given word about offline mode? (my apologies)


There is a difference between the given words and promises. Specific are they: "I give the word" - "I promise". I hear rumors about it and I rely on them. Once I mentioned it when I first came to the forum. Reasons for Offline mode are in fact excuses. But it is no longer important, right?

I think most people are hoping that at some point in the future we will be able to hire Npc's as wingmen, would be a nice addition.

There one more problem.
I attack Wanted NPC and become Wanted. For System he was WANTED.
And i didn't use KWS.

I popped into the Nav beacon at Sol last night and saw a Deadly Anaconda. My Python is set up on the combat end of trade, so I thought you know what, I need to test myself against one of these guys. He was good. First trick was an FA off 180 to bring his PA to bear on me which I managed to see incoming and dodge. What happened next was akin to Top Gun, where Viper miraculously pulls in behind from out of the clouds just when you think you have Jester in your sights.

Only this time Jester was a Dangerous Python that knew how to reverse face tank me.
I reckon I could've taken either of them solo, but the pair was too much, even with a little low-level npc interference. Got out of there with a blown canopy (have to consider upgrading D-Life Support now) and 55% hull remaining.

Landed with 2:13 to spare and bent over to receive the repair bill for my very second hand Python.... Total was under 30k cr! What an improvement For trader / Nav cleaners like myself, it means we can engage in a bit more combat without always thinking "If this was a Viper I wouldn't mind scratching it..." Every time a laser grazes the hull.

I'm loving it. Picked a fight with a wing last night. Killed a few before i was forced to limp back to the station for repairs. Combat is now a lot more challenging and fun finally!

Hiring NPC for Wing-man will be nice solution for this situation.
Something like this:
Hiring NPC <Ship name: Python, Anaconda, Eagle, Cobra and etc> <Rank: Novice, Master, Expert, Dangerous, Elite> *cost depend of rank and ship
High rank, high price.

Yes. Tnx, from context you able to get point. My first language is Serbian but i'm able to understand all of you without knowing all words and grammar I try hard to correct myself in writings.

Though I've never seen a wing with ten ships - this may be a "lost in translation" moment.
As people have mentioned above, always check to see if the NPC you are about to attack is in a wing - I usually see wings of 2 or 3.

Now I think about it, I've never seen an NPC wing of 4 yet...

Yes, 4 is maximum for wing team. But i know how to count red dots in radar And there is info about target you can see is he in wing or solo.

OP man, what is your combat rating?

Devs were saying they will balance threat level to your status. So I'm wondering now is it Combat rating, or the value of ship & cargo, or what... So it would be useful to tell us what was your ship and combat rating.
