Any good VoiceAttack profiles?

Hey, so I thought about giving VoiceAttack a try since it looks fun to have your ship as your co-pilot and giver it tasks, making it do stuff, and will make it a bit easier to control the ship in general, as well as having the feeling of the future more, but I will need a profile that is specifically made for Elite Dangerous since I have little to no experience with those things, so any of you have profiles you recommend?

Thanks for the answers ^^

Would send you my profile but it's configured for my machine (voice packs,Key assignments)

Do a search for elite dangerous A.S.T.R.A. Great profile and ships computer.

I am using A.S.T.R.A. atm, it's a bit bare on the functional side, but i plan on modifying it completly to suit my needs and there are plenty of responces to choose from. It's nice tho to have a soothing voice telling you what it is doing. She is a beacon of useless knowlage tho :p

I see, thank you, that profile costs money as well, fair enough, I am sure that people worked hard on it, once I will get the money I will get it.

thanks for the answers :)

If you want to try out a free alternative to VoiceAttack give Speech2Keys a whirl.
https://github.com/antialias-github/Speech2Keys_
(download via "download zip" button. You only need the Speech2Keys.exe and the InputManager.dll in the same folder. User guide is included. Tutorials can be found on Youtube by searching for "Speech2Keys tutorial" - but I tried to make it as intuitive as possible so you'll probably not need either)

If you want a free profile you can have mine (though you will have to change the key assignments in ED)

Thank you a lot! but is there any chance that there is a profile that uses the default keys? because I actually like the way they are.

Agreed. To match someone elses profile you would need to check every setting in controls.

You are better off making your own. You don't have to do everything at once. Just do it as you realise what will be useful.

In voice attack you can set up your own commands and get the text-to-speak Microsoft lady bot to talk back to you. So I'm using ASTRA and supplement it with the Microsoft lady for additional commands.

You can also resuse the ASTRA responses sound files for more than one command. For example for the commands "Exit Panels" or "Centre HUD" you could use the ASTRA sound file "HUD forward" for both.

It's probably not the configuration as much as the huge amount of voice files you get. Way more then it is configured with. You can allways make your own profiles and attach bleeps and boops as replies, but it's so much nicer to have some voice replying when you bark orders ;-)

Sorry, I don't have one with the default keys
(Speech2Keys as of now only supports 0-9, a-z, F1-F10, Num0-Num9, and the del, insert, end, home, pgup, pgdown, backspace, escape and enter keys...along with shift and ctrl combinations)

But no matter which program you use - you will probably want to define your own profile...because you will want to change the key phrases/words you use to the ones that seem most 'natural' to you in any case.

(Though it's a good idea to look at profiles of others for some neat macros...like the "request docking" macro)
If you have a joystick with a fair number of buttons and good voice control profile you actually don't need the keyboard at all anymore
(I have mine lying on the floor. I only grab it for text chat.)

Hmm yes, I could see that but its still fun to mess around with much more advanced profiles and systems! :)

Try

I have modded it quite a bit for my own purposes and to integrate volume in to VLC

Try this if you've got a few quid to spare: Elite Dangerous Voice Pack

Wow! it just looks amazing!!! so many commands, and I've seen the video, it seems pretty ambient and realistic (as much as space goes) I will defiantly give it a try!! thanks!!
I mean 200 commands? that's crazy!!
just 1 question, what do you do with VLC exactly? I know that this program was made to view movies, but nothing else that I know of really x).
thanks for the reply though! was really useful

Yeah, I prefer a voice replay, haha it has a much better feeling to it.

Ahh I see, no worries, I might try to make something out of it :)

VLC is used to play the sound effects / voices of the ships computer and of course allow you to turn radio channels on and off so you can cruise with the blues :)

Very relaxing with some blues music and the lovely KICS ships computer telling you are awesome with a bottle of red wine whilst trading :)
