Been to a RES lately? It's bloomin' mad!

Went to RES for a bit of the old pew pew. Crikey, it's bloomin' chaos there, loadsa ships having at each other! Needed to throw a bucket of water of them, I did. Scanner is packed out and I can't tell my Asp from my elbow...

Came back with about 400k for me troubles.

Nice. :p

Did a 2 man wing yesterday for the first time, love the RES points. Agreed it was a bit chaotic when all the "wanted" started to filter in, but it was freakin AWESOME! 1.2 is a HUGE step in the right direction.

I see people discussing RES combat quite a bit, has it changed more than Nav point combat? Because I normally fight at Nav points and that's also been updated with the latest patches. Having a literal blast playing in a wing with my friend.

Yep :)

I almost don't want to say - to not jinx it or something. But yes, yesterday's outting to the RES was rather awesome indeed.
Went home with a little below 400k after - and I hadn't seen this before - night had fallen on the Asteroid Field.

Let me say that again: Night had fallen on the asteroid field.
FD, you rock.

RES fighting is much more fun than at Nav points. You can't move for Anacondas, Pythons, Clippers, Asps, etc etc. It's easy to make at least 1M Cr in a session, if you take a break to re-arm the MCs :)

This was completely the opposite of my experience last night.

Nothing even remotely worth killing in over an hour of RES hunting and hopping.

Same here, nothing bigger than a Cobra.

Would be interested to know if the rich hunting was found in Anarchies?

That was my experience too before 1.2, I saw loads of sidewinders and cobras with just the very rare occurrence of bigger ships.

But since tuesday.....

The rich hunting has always been in anarchies.

More enemies spawn with higher bounties and usually there are no pesky authority ships to fly into your shots or scan you after you scooped a few tons of 'liberated' slaves or gold.

Last night in Orrere an Anaconda with 2 wingmen appeared out of nowhere behind my group while we were busy fighting someone else. They chased us off *pooh*

Just be careful the wanted my have two or more in his wings if his buddies are not preoccupied with either a allied NPC as soon as you attack they go hostile toward you before you know it if you are by yourself and not in a wing to help you two or more will be attacking you in some cases if you can kill off most of his or their wing the last one may try to flee if you are stronger then it.

In anarchy @ RES do you need a KWS?

Yes you do. Its always worth bringing one to any RES or Nav as you'll get additional bounty credits if the Wanted is Wanted in other systems (which they usually will be).

?REDO FROM START

Just took the Clipper into an RES, holy CRUD it is fun in there. Made about 480k in 30 minutes before my buddy and I accidentally zinged a system security viper (we both shot him at the same time and were like "oh... whoops) and we had to book it outta there. Wings, and the associated features, are the best thing to happen to this game. The RES actually felt like the trailer... chaotic, profitable, and amazingly fun dodging between rocks with a bro, with him pulling vipers off my back while I go for big fish.

10/10, would play again

Bloomin' mad indeed!

It used to be just Sidewinders, Cobras, and the occasional Anaconda, but last night I fought pirates flying just about every ship in the game. Adders, Eagles, Vipers, Asps, Clippers, Dropships, Pythons - you name it, they were there. No Vultures or Fer-de-Lances though, oddly enough. Combine that with Wings and the improved combat AI and you can get into some really nasty fights now! It actually had me thinking about trying to squeeze a shield cell bank into my Cobra somehow.

It pays better too. After a couple of hours of bounty hunting I left my local RES with nearly 750k in bounties which was unheard of pre-1.2 for me.
