Imperial Courier = Awesomeness on toast

Just had another look and it's still not in my hanger yet! Come on FD! 
Damn, that looks amazing! Gosh, I really hope it can function as a good explorer, really want something bit more shiny with more style then the Asp. Was thinking about Clipper or Orca, but they are not perfect for that, maybe the Courier does it better? Wait and see.

I'm hoping those nacelles extend when hard points are deployed to give it the classic Courier look. My Wing mates may not be, as the sound of me shouting, 'lock S-Foils in attack position!' every time we engage the enemy is going to get really old.

Don't get me wrong, RSI's work with the Cryengine is insane. The lighting and textures / surfaces is second to none. It's really cool to see all of the interiors and stuff, but we'll be seeing all of that in ED too. As far as ship design goes though, IMO, their underwhelming. 95% of them are very small, no bigger than modern day planes. Whereas in Elite, the ships are huge, some of them as big as buildings, 3-4 decks high. The Retaliator there for example, to me looks like a giant bug from the front and aft of the ship.
That's obviously just my opinion though, everyone has their own flavor. That said, if I could marry Elite's ships, with those graphics... ugh. Would be amazing.
I am an SC backer though, and my Constellation Andromeda and Freelancer are sitting in their hangar awaiting the arrival of the PU. ;-)

I think I'm one of the nay sayers. Whilst it undoubtedly looks like a gorgeous ship, this is not what I think of when I imagine an Imperial Courier. Elite had the Cobra Mk3 as the iconic ship. Frontier for me had the Courier - it was the only ship I ever wanted to fly. In ED we have the Cobra virtually untouched, why could we not have the Courier the same?
For me the Courier is all about a pair of huge engines strapped to a cockpit. The 'look' is all about those hanging nacelles and frankly this doesn't capture that in the slightest. Now my one hope is that this is being muted as concept art. I genuinely hope it changes to capture the more classic lines, otherwise a little bit of me's going to die inside.
Also I get the feeling it's going to be small, Eagle sized judging by the cockpit. I don't mind this change really - more suiting to the name, but FDev please (!!!!!) give us huge nacelles!
