Newcomer / Intro Best Budget Bounty Hunting Loadout

I'm looking at getting into bounty hunting with a second ship to break up the monotany of trading.

I know the viper is considered the best ship, when it all kitted out. That is an expensive endeavor I'm not sure I want to undertake as of yet.

So I am wondering what a good ship and loadout would be that is reasonably priced?

Thanks for any feedback.

You could try an adder :) one beam laser and 2 seeking missiles, you can fill it up with shield boosters a scanner and an interdictor, just have to work the power management like a boss, so when you interdict the life support goes off HARDCORE ! :) p.s make sure you get a nice long life support :) I make cargo hatch and kws priority 5 fsd[5], so when you kill warrant scan you frameshift drive goes offline, you cant frameshift with weapons drawn anyway :) good luck, don't forget you have to manually turn on and off modules or the power won't work, so turn on one shield booster and turn the others off, just thought i'd mention that as a few people think they can just loadout up to 100% .

P.S almost forgot to mention, the missiles are rather expensive, so it's npc big bounties only, you might kill a player in a viper or a cobra but it will cost 25k in missiles or sumsuch:)

Questions because:

A good Viper is expensive, yes, but nowadays you can have a good Viper after 5-ish successful hunting sessions at a RESite.
(my Viper or Cobra usually nets me ~500k before I have to return to a station to reload and/or repair)
You could try an Eagle - a joy to fly but also a wet paperbag once some guns get a hold on you.
The Adder is a good suggestion buuut imho, it's a beginner's Pirate vessel ;) Pick your fights. Have a Hatch Breaker,
know how to smuggle. A fun ship, don't bring it to a RES though.

Good info, I havent really looked into the working out the priority of the modules yet once you output more than 100%. Guess that would be good practice.

My current trade route nets me around 250k round trip. I think about every 6 minutes if I am not getting sidetracked with other stuff.

I kind of want to try a vulture, but that is pretty expensive to set up also.
I have about 3.5m to play with atm.
