Zoo Tycoon So now that this game has bombed...

When can we expect to see the PC version?

First, I really have hard time to see how Zoo Tycoon bombed :)

We will probably never know sales numbers, but I think Microsoft tactic with this one wasn't exactly to crunch big sales numbers, but to be amazing supplementary family friendly game to XBox One, which Zoo Tycoon delivers.

Second, as your primary question was when PC version is released - you will have to ask Microsoft, as they are own both franchise IP rights and publishing rights :p

Does game has flaws? Sure. For fans of franchise some of them are fundamental, like limits or console interface, or fact lions don't jump over the fence and don't eat people. Is game fun? Hell yeah. Does it has some depth? I has lot of depth, just not what some fans of franchise expected.

Judging game on it's own merits, it's fun game with incredibly good looking animals.

I wouldn't say it's bombed, but reviews have been very mixed. And unfortunately Metacritic pulls in reviews from a number of places I wouldn't really rank as professional.

A big problem with the game seems to be one of expectations. Many people play it thinking it will be an intense strategy game, but it's generally fairly light. The reviewers that approach it as more interactive fun seem to rate it higher.

Of course this is always an issue in a franchise where you have a large number of pre-existing expectations, and the Tycoon brand is no exception.

It definitely bombed. No one talks it about it on gaming forums other than this one, no one streams it on twitch, and very few people are making youtube videos about it.

what did you expect, it's not God of War or Assassins Creed. It doesn't have the huge fan following like they do, this is a niche game. We're Blade, they're Spiderman, we have fans but not as many or as prominent. Keep that in mind Varanis, and stop asking for the PC version because frontier can't do anything about that. Go spam Microsoft

I agree with Varians this game bombed. For numerous reason but when you make simple things complex like the menus which were and are a nightmare no wonder it bombed.

And even having to plant several of the same at one time. Nope that aint happening.

Did no one from frontier notice this before release? or did they not care?

From what I have seen from play-through videos on YouTube. It seems like an enjoyable game. I can't really judge it though until I play it, which won't happen unless a PC version is made. Given that Microsoft has had PC ports of some of their others games, like Halo, Alan Wake (Which I love), Viva Pinata and so forth. I firmly believe a PC version will come out later. But I'm just speculating on Microsoft's past PC ports, I can't really be for sure.

I don't think this game has bombed at all lol, most of these unfair ratings come from people who would rather play call of duty or grand theft auto. I would give this game a 8.5 out of 10 thats an honest review I would say 10-10 but I'd be being biased since I myself love the game. But really some good dlc like objects, exhibits, and animals and this game would be even better. But really I cant believe some of the negative remarks from people, no appreciation for the time and dedication it takes to create this.
