Space Badgers, Bobbleheads and Fluffy Dice.

We have seen in the recent 'Elite: Dangerous Dev Diary #8' Bobbleheads in the cockpit and possible Fluffy Dice!. What else would you want to see or be able to do to customise your cockpit?

Possible space badgers in game too, check the image at 0.28, on top of the monitor!

Those tree-shaped air fresheners, and a tape player :) Seriously - an in-game music player for those quiet moments would be perfect! With a little visualizer on the HUD ;)

We should also have massive "performance" exhaust nozzles, low-profile landing gear, and huge Turbo stickers as aftermarket addons available to those who want them. That way I will know whom to exterminate first :)

Lava lamps, black lights, able to set the color of lights around my ship's interior, maybe a poster or two. A coffee maker (that works). Oh, and a display area for collecting ship models maybe. I guess the zero-g would automatically nerf stuff like Newton's Cradle and Love Beads.

Good news for me!

Well, the NEW wife has agreed to get me in at the Premium Boxed Edition level as my Christmas present. Now I just need to scramble to come up with a bit more to upgrade to the alpha level.... I am so excited by this game.

I can explicitly state that the FORMER wife is making things as difficult as possible (while she collects unemployment while vacationing in Roatan, Honduras) for me. There is a kinda of peace that I feel this game will bring; like a virtual Zoloft that will comfort my soul.

I look forward to seeing some of you in beta and hope to get to upgrade to alpha!

Hmm....I think I agree with whats been said earlier and would like to see a (functioning) tape player, coffee machine and perhaps a mini-fridge for stuff like beer and milk (for the coffee). I used to work with the merchant navy on small coastal vessels and one of the things we had on the bridge (the bit where the navigator does his thing) was a kettle and a fridge, fully stocked at all times ('cos Lord have mercy on your soul if I go to make myself a brew and find there's no milk or coffee!)

stupid idea !
stick to SC for dumb ideas.

Why is that a stupid idea? Fluffy Dice were mentioned in the original Elite manual as far as I can remember, although I could be very wrong.

Besides - in this day and age of "avatars" and "casual" gaming - it would not surprise me in the least if such useless addons to a game were not available.

People will pay real money for things like there is no tomorrow - if they have a chance to boast about them to their farcebook friends. You want an Xbox Tron avatar? you can have it for $5. You want a PS3 Simpsons skin? You can have it for $5. You want a upgraded sword in Game X - of course Sir, it's only $10. See what I mean?

P2W has already become a curse. You pay money, you win more. That is absolutely not what I want to see happening in a game. I do want to see better returns on investment in hardware, in the visual awesomeness and immersion factors, which is not the same as pressing the Iwin button.

+1 for you. Agree completely.

I'd like to be able to shut down every light source in the cockpit and just drift by a star in darkness. :D

Alternatively a Photo frame to fill with whoever I want.

A David Braben Bobble-Head doll? :p

What was the name of the cat in the Nostromo? A ginger cat lazily sleeping in Zero G floating in the cockpit! :D

that always worried me , she took an un-profecionaly trained cat onto a spaceship leaving her 8 yr old daughter behind abandoned and petless

Who says Jonesy was her cat? I just took him to be the 'ships' cat. Of course she (and most of the rest of the crew) had feelings for him, but it wasn't hers...

Also Her 8 year old daughter was meant to be at school and stuff... Can't get much of an education in a cryo tube.

Also also, they weren't meant to be out there for as long as Ripley was. I see it like people in the current era go and work on ships and stuff. You don't see many kids running round on cargo vessels, or oil rigs...

good point . tho by the way the company behaved if it was a ships cat im sure they would have reasigned it (to save those few bucks) on another ship and not let her keep it.

also dont miss any tho

also also , 18 months if memory serves me right so it wasnt a quick tour.
