Lets test this persistent universe and see if FD are true to their word.

Checking in to confirm 2.5k tons delivered so far. Was slightly surprised to be placed in the top 15% for this. How many tons do you guys in the top 5% have?

Will do some more runs later.

I just reached 7k tons right now, but I got to the top 5% early this afternoon when I reached 3k. The threshold has probably gone up a bit, but you may not be very far from it.

Are anarchy pirate factions supposed to go extinct? I remember in January, I tried bounty farming in systems with strong pirate factions. I re-checked those systems today, and on every single one of them, the pirate faction has dropped significantly, with no exceptions. The drops were remarkable as well, like 26% down to 10%. Not a single faction was stagnant, let alone increased.

The reason behind this seems pretty simple. As explained, every time you kill a ship of a faction with a bounty, that faction loses influence. Since most ships with a bounty belong to the local pirate faction, that faction of course loses influence, when a player decides to bounty farm in that system, while the others lose a lot less since they have fewer ships with bounties on them. So relatively speaking, every other faction becomes stronger.

The only way a pirate faction can gain influence is if someone starts doing missions for them, but nobody does that because it's utterly pointless, especially if your goal is to make it stronger so it is easier to bounty farm.

Are there any ways a pirate faction can gain influence I'm not aware of?

When a faction loses influence, the other factions gain a bit, proportionally to what influence they already have (since the total influence is alway 100%, logically enough). So if a group was to start working against the most influential factions in the system, this would allow the pirate faction to make a comeback. But as Lugh's history has proven, it takes a dedicated, organised group of players to do that. And it will be done at a loss. So it is even more unlikely to happen than just some commanders doing missions for the pirates. So yeah, this looks like a relatively serious design flaw.

Maybe you should consider starting a thread about it.

By the way, is anyone here thinking of going to Lavecon? I hadn't been intending to go, but after making so many friends in Lugh I wondered if it'd be nice to catch up IRL...

I know pulses work, I have them now. I want to try something different, keep combat fresh and exciting, maybe force myself to do better or learn how to aim fixed weapons

I tried gc3 beam and fc3 cannon yesterday but my time to kill was much much longer than 2 gc3 puls.
I don't suck at flying or something but i had problems with any other outfit than puls.
At least in a combat zone.

The Sons of Conn appreciate your support commander. Enjoy your stay in Lugh. You are always welcome.

Please take GOIBNIU'S GIFTS: HOLDING THE LINE in Balandin. We need that 230t.

Very well Cmdr,
Thanks for the intel. Will begin hauling for a while and pass by in combat zone half an hour as a cherry on top :)

I think you can get a vulture in heartsfield i think, if not then get one in belarsuk. There are no class 3 multi cannons. I tried the class 2 MC with a class 3 pulse laser and it's still rather effective.
You should stick with 2 pulse lasers though, They burst through anything.

I did before but kept running out of power too quickly.

Was thinking one laser and one multicannon. Maybe a cannon instead

We must be loosing the war. In the last couple of days my normal dullahan hourly take home has dropped from in excess of 1 mil to less than 100k.

Is it me or is the lugh 6 convoy beacon becoming more and more difficult to succeed in?

Just a quick update, the top 5 percent appears to be at between 3200 and 3400 tons right now. I just delivered a full load and flipped to Top 5%

It's been a while since I visited Lugh, and the last time I was here the CSG had the most influence. Now it's Silver Natural Ltd. What happened?

I think it's bugged. I did a mission unrelated to the war, but for CSG (kill some pirates in nearby systems, and donate to CSG 40k credits in a station) and Silver Natural Ltd got all of the influence.

Not really, did 3 million plus bonds tonight.
