I don't post here much, love the group though. Just a thought, I believe anyone that has entered a group with the specific intent of causing problems is a seriously ban able offense, and should be petitioned as such with "Frontier".
ALT-F4 for the win. I would have absolutely no objection to doing that in a case of someone clearly violating the rules of the group.
Here, here,,, +1 on this. Rep coming.
LMK when the petition is ready. I will sign it.
And to those who disagree:
I have no problem with PVP players who prefer things "dangerous". If they are in an environment that includes as well encourages it, fine. Fly your way and enjoy the game as it is.
But to go into a group whose primary intent is to NOT include PVP and inflict that on players is,,,,,
Just beyond wrong.![]()
Dumbbell in a Clipper interdicts me and demands cargo (I don't even have any)... I remind him that he is in Mobius group. He ignores me and keeps shooting. I try to run, but I remember to take screen shots of the action (F 10).
He interdicts me twice, and kills me.
The purpose of the travel pass is to provide a safe area for traders of rare commodities to pass through. For too long murders and so called bounty hunters (spit) have killed traders in the area, simply for "fun". This had to stop, so THE CODE have stepped in to enforce the zone and help clear the area of these unwelcome intruders.
This obviously has to be funded and so the code travel pass has been introduced..
Besides, if their intent is to find people to "interact" with (because "interacting" apparently is restricted to "shooting at" in their view), wouldn't there be a lot more people to shoot in Open Play than in Mobius? Even if you only consider that factor it makes no sense, unless they're just trying to be garden-variety jerks, just because. Which is obviously what's happening.
the players in question obviously found it beyond their intelligence to follow our very simple group rules and as such have been removed from your group.CMDR in the Leesti system is pirating / attacking other players in Leesti. Didn't get the full name, I'm afraid. But be WARNED. Claims to be part of The Code.
group now stands at 6021 members, good to see that so many members are enjoying themselves within the group.
Yes, very much so. Also, good to know that people who break the group's rules are swiftly dealt with.![]()
I will admit that I get great satisfaction in clicking the KICK option because its so rare to have to use it,
the griefers may have the first laugh but I always get the last and best one.
I expect who ever it was that went into Mobius and is mentally unbalanced. That can be the only explanation, maybe from a broken home. Living on scraps and hoping for a warm hug from a loved one.
Anyone who had any interaction with these people, probably were not used to the new feelings of excitement and danger.
If anything these two pilots should be commended for showing a new aspect of the game, which I would expect in a PVE ( which i now understand is environment.. ( I guess trees can be deadly ) ) was sorely lacking.
I am guessing but most of the people interdicted were given a message and choose to ignore it, but who can say. I am also spit-balling here, but i also expect those that gave up cargo escaped with their ship.
What an exciting and varied place Elite Dangerous is. Hurrah for Player interaction!

Hi
This is my first forum post but I thought I should share my story of 'finding' Mobius given all the negative stuff about griefers etc so here goes:
On my second or third day of playing ED, in an open setting as I wasn't aware yet there WERE private groups, I was minding my own business doing some basic trading in my Sidewinder when I was unceremoniously yanked out of Supercruise by another player in a Cobra. Despite knowing it was certain death I dutifully armed my pea shooter guns and prepared for the worst, only to be greeted by a message from the guy stating he wasn't a pirate and he wasn't going to kill me. "Ha yeah right!" I thought ... that's just what a clever pirate WOULD say! Nevertheless I elected not to open fire, and the gut (CMDR Mitch Gant) then proceeded to talk me slowly through quite a few bits of the game I had no idea existed, including making me dump my crappy cargo, so he could drop some much more valuable stuff for me, and then patiently talked me through my initially half witted attempts at using my cargo scoop. He then explained who Mobius were, and the PVE ethic and suggested I should join. I promptly did exactly that, and have played on private ever since.
Whilst I was new to Eat that time, I am very experienced at MMO's and online gameplay generally, but this is the single best example I have even seen in 35 years of gaming of feeling welcomed into a community and genuinely helped, for no reason other than him being a genuinely nice guy!!
So ... a big thanks for the help, and I still haven't pirated anyone Mitch - as promised!!
... and I adore this game!!!
Cheers
