I've been doing a lot of exploring and being a tad OCD usually visit everything (I draw the line at bodies over 50,000 LS away until I'm sure what the wear and tear rate is).
I cannot fathom why small bodies/belts take SO long to scan. I can understand that we need to be closer to a small body, that makes sense. But what doesn't make sense is the time it takes to scan the small bodies (especially belts which I've started to ignore). Could the scan time be linked to the size/complexity/value of the body being scanned so small/simple/low value bodies take less time to scan?
Also is there a way of selecting planetary bodies other than in the target panel? Some way of targeting the bodies via key/button/voice command whilst in the main cockpit view would be much better IMO.
