Yes, the percentages round, granted to the nearest whole percentage number, It might be difficult to display something like 100.002% but this will be over the limit. You should focus on the the MW number more-so than the percentage when setting up modules. There is also a slight discrepancy between EDshipyard and the game when it comes to some percentage rounding, I had a loadout that EDshipyard that said 99%, but the game said 98%, even though the MW numbers were precise matches.

In short, if you have 15.60 MW of power and EDshipyard says you'll be using 15.63, this will be too high for the game as well. Good luck out there!

Edit: Also on percentages, if you ran this loadout in game you might see 100% displayed and should be tinted Red, as in over power limit.

Mmm, that's more or less what I assumed- but it was as well to check- as it'd let me run an extra shield booster. Thanks for the confirmation, I can't jump back into the game to check for myself right now, so it was worth asking here in case someone knew off the top of their head :)

Just a quick question is this listing right:

3B/F Plasma Accelerator
Mode: F; Thm: 8; Ammo: 5/100
DPS: 4 (9*0); Dmg: TK; Pen: A

2C/F Plasma Accelerator
Mode: F; Thm: 10; Ammo: 5/100
DPS: 4 (7*0); Dmg: T; Pen: A

As it appears larger Plasma Accelerator is T & K and medium is only T?

A 4A powerplant kicks out 15.6 MW. My deployed consumption without hatch/scoop/FSD power use is shown as "(100%) 15.63" in EDShipyard. Is this rounding down to 100% peculiar to EDShipyard? That is to say, in game, will regard it as 100% too, or more than 100%, and thus fail to power? If the latter is the case, why is EDShipyard rounding?
All numbers currently round-to-nearest, but I see your point that power consumption should probably round-up instead, so that it's clear when you're over the limit, even if just barely. I'll change that in the next update.

Any chance that we will get a setting that uses prices and only componenets from Founders World? That would be awesome.

Specifically:
1 check box for "Founders World Ship Prices"
1 Check box for "Founders World Component Prices"
1 Check box for Filter for "Only items Available at Founders World"
I recall one of the recent patch notes saying that Founders World would now always stock every ship and item, but I suppose I could put in a discount selector (just like the insurance level selector). Is anyone aware of any discount levels currently available anywhere other than 10%?

I remember noticing that too when I was putting them in, and I think I double checked that the damage type does indeed change from medium to large. Could be a bug that they'll fix eventually, but for now I think that's how it is.

The Community Goal at Hudson Dock is offering reward of 5% discount on FSD's!

Bah! It's a nice idea for a reward, but now I guess I'll have to shuffle the whole layout around to scrounge up the screen real estate for separate discount selectors on each individual module slot. Thanks, ObamaFrontier! ;)

Um ok. That's... obscure.

(it's a long thread - sorry for missing it)
Yeah, a lot of people miss it. I'll probably end up splitting it off to make it more obvious, I was just hoping to avoid that since it would waste an entire row of vertical screen space on a module that cannot be changed or removed and has no mass, price or other attributes; the only thing that matters about it is the power usage, and the Ship line had an empty space in that column anyway, so it seemed a natural place to put it. But not an intuitive one, I guess.

Sorry if this questions has been asked before.
But trying to balance energy use on ship and can anyone tell me how much cargo hatch power is? or is that the 0.60 listed under ship at the top of shipyard web page.

Yes, the 0.6MW on the ship line of the site is the cargo hatch; you can hover your mouse over it (and everything else with a dotted underline) for more information.

I'm not sure how feasible it is, but perhaps have the power figures turn yellow if you exceed the limit by 0-7% and red if you go over 7?

Unavailable weapon choices

The tool needs to filter unavailable weapon choices due to location.

For example, the ASP can't have turreted lasers on the two "underside" hardpoints. Not sure of other ships, but there are bound to be more exceptions.

Great tool otherwise! :)

Huh, I'd never noticed that individual hardpoints had restrictions beyond their class. Can anyone confirm on the Asp or any other ships?

Irkutsk Station (Alioth) have permanent 20% discount on Asp and Orca.
Daedalus Station (Sol) have permanent 20% discount on Eagle

Speaking about Orcas, the C5 and C6 Internal Compartments are no longer reserved, it can be replaced like normal.

Yes I bought a 20% off Orca, don't judge! Lol

Great tool. I'd love the checkboxes' state to be part of the URL, because when I share a link I always get lots of "but it's using too much power" comments and have to explain which subsystems can be turned off in combat.

Love the tool. Quick comment though - The cargo scoop is not a module but part of the base system. it can still, however, be set to priority 2 or higher so that it goes offline when my guns come out to save me power (it uses a surprising amount! It was 5% on my Viper with an A class power plant!).

Would it be possible to have a tickbox just to disable the power usage of the cargo scoop even though it's not a swappable module? I suspect it's something that many people, like me, factor into the calculations when they're trying to work out if the have the power budget for a specific loadout.

EDIT: OK, i'm an idiot. I worked out that the power on the base hull is for the cargo scoop. Sorry.
